I find it humorous and ironic that regal, founder of regalnoia and crusader for campaign "our DI seals will fail in every 2012 MY and because of it our engines will blow up at 60k or earlier and we have zero resale value because of it" keeps trying to justify purchasing a non intercooled FI kit which will increase temps all across and heatsoak which might help put the seals at higher risk.

Oh the internetzzz.

If you are going to give up your warranty being pushed into an after market tune you might as well go FI, does that make sense?

Now I admit that the Innovate may not make sense but I don't have all the info ( I don't think anyone does yet) and its all in the tuning to a point especially with DI, last I am a cheap stake, I'm not going to spend a lot on the muffler, I mean blower .

Although I am not a fan of eyeball science, the drawings just don't show the length between the 210 and 335 with the same reference/datum. I know someone apparently confirmed with sprintex that 335 will fit but the following doesn't look all that promising?

Someone also said it is 0.8 inches longer, but it looks to be closer to 80mm? Hence my previous question, is there +80mm more room available at the back of current setup?

interesting, i didn't catch that before. It looks like sprintex's measurements for the 335 do not include the pulley length on it, while the 210 measurements do inclue the pulley.

S5-210

S5-335

Yes, I understand the reasoning for going FI, but why choose to go with the one kit that does not have an IC? If the only reason is, its cheaper... Dont do it man. Just get a tune and thats it. If you plan on going FI, think bigger picture, cooling, brakes, catch can, engine mounts etc......

It just seems like tuners are giving up on it with pump gas on the base kit ? Everything I see is E85, E85, E85. Well corn isn't available here and corn is meant to feed the hungry anyw

Thanks
I aint saying anything else about this kit. Everytime I have of brought up things I get nailed to the cross and I am sick of it. As sportsguy said if you have the money get the proper IC kit either from Toni, Nameless or the actual OEM Sprintex. Or wait for Innovate to rebrand everyone elses stuff.

For now, I'm going to stick with E85 and no IC. If I find I need an IC, I'll get one later.

If anything, instead of an IC, I'd like to see a water-jacket for the compressor housing. That might be more beneficial to the E85 guys.

I am patiently awaiting the results from the FA20Club IC testing. As for a larger unit, I think it would be tough to fit just due to lack of room at the back near the firewall. I wish they offered a few more sizes of supercharger like Eaton does.

Waiting to go on,
already started upgrading,
waiting to go on,
done,
etc.

The mountain of parts boxes in my garage is intimidating. I wanted to have it done by now, but I had another car turn into a basket case, then I've been moving into my new apartment, etc. Soon though.. Hopefully next week I can continue with my "Ghost -> Wraith" project.

Power Build:
Innovate Blower
FA20Club 70mm pulley + HD belt (coming)
540CC Injectors (coming)
Fuel Pump (coming)
FA20Club Flex Fuel Kit
Borla EL header
Motive overpipe
Invidia resonated front pipe
Ark Grip catback (done)
Full lightweight pulley kit
ACT HD Clutch and ProLite flywheel (done)
PST CF Driveshaft (done)
Robispec Cooling Solution
HKS intake duct
STI engine + trans mounts (done)
Cusco catch can
Diff + Subframe bushing inserts

Brakes/Suspension:
Cusco strut bar w/ MC brace (done)
Stoptech braided brake lines
Carbotech pads (1521 for street/AutoX, XP10 for track)
RCE Tarmac 2 400lb coilovers
Enkei 18x9.5+38 RPF1s w/ Dunlop ZII 265/35-18 tires

I can just squeeze my car into my garage. I need to get this stuff done so I can move around my garage.

It'll be close. Hopefully next week I'll be able to do the wheels/tires and coilovers to make more room in the garage. Then the exhaust and canned n/a tune to keep it road-worthy. By that time the other car that's currently under the knife (hopefully for the last time) will be done and I can start tearing into the BRZ's engine.

If all goes well, it'll be a month or so. I really hope to make it to the last AutoX of the year with the full "Wraith".
