Hi. Picked up my Crystal Black Silica BRZ Limited last night. Springs and wheels are first on the agenda.

New here? Come say hi =)

Hey what's up first post here. Have had my SWP limited for about a month and loving it! Located in central Iowa. All stock for now, but have some plans over the winter while in storage. Wheels, lower it, exhaust.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1378429174.190603.jpg

Time to stop lurking and check-in!

Hi everyone, my forum name is Abenaki and I just went of over the 1000 mile line today!

I have been lurking for the past month or so and I have learned a lot about the BRZ and FRS twins from all of you, so thanks!

My BRZ Limited is approximately my 48th car/truck/motorcycle, so as you can probably guess, I have been around for awhile.

I have also lived in about a dozen states from New Hampshire to Hawaii and for approximately 10 years in England and Ireland, so I have also seen and driven a lot more than just my 48 vehicles.

I have owned Corvettes (2), Porsche (1), Jaguar (1) Triumphs (3 TR6's), MG's, etc, etc. and a muscle car or two and I am really enjoying the BRZ's handling, performance and ride!

I am doing a few mods for now... Beat-Sonic shark-fin and backup camera, Cusco bar, Anarchy Motive Shifter Ball, LED interior lights and and probably some 2014 knee pads and speaker covers. Pictures to follow....

Speaking of Beat-Sonic camera installs... does anyone have a good picture or drawing of the 28 pin connect where the "purple" wire goes in the connector body. The instructions say pin 2... but there is wire in the pin 2 position already... the crappy picture in the install instructions looks like it could be in the Pin 1 position? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

1-week Owner of the BRZ

Got this baby from Portland and drove her down to California. 660 Miles journey was a great way to push it.

Loving it!

Nice to meet you all BRZ owner. Check out the Subie Fest in Fontana if you are in CA. http://www.subiefest.com/

Hey everybody! My name is Corie, I currently drive a 1999 Prelude that is nearing the magical 200K mile mark so it's about time to park her to give her new life. I've been looking into the 86 chassis for a while now, I test drove an FR-S last month at a dealer in Florida, and just test drove a BRZ today and I must say, I like the BRZ better. To me it feels like it rides better, and I like the front end better to boot. I will be ordering a Premium (sports cars don't need heated leather seating) in either WRB or GBS, haven't decided yet. It'll be a couple of months either way, in the process of picking out modifications for it.

Anyway, I love the forum, love the chassis, and I will definitely be participating once I get the keys to my baby.

If that's your main motivation - just don't get a BRZ/FRS in a bright color ... it is an eye catching car, rare enough to appear expensive and exotic still and cops will take notice of you still ...

Hello guys! just signed up. Im in the research phase, as im lookng to buy a car soon and decided the best way to learn about a car is to get involved in the community!

I drive an RSX, not a type S, but a modified base making type S power. That being said, i was not surprised by the power output of the BRZ, and the salesman i was with did not let me have any fun with the car, so i did not really get an idea about the soul it has.

Im looking for a car that surpasses my own in everyway, and i freakin love my RSX, so thats a high standard for me. My suspension setup is such that i get great feel and response from the wheel, and i want something that engages me even more. The BRZ seems to be the perfect car apart from its lack of power. The focus ST is the biggest competitor to it right now for me

Anyway, names Randol, ppl in ClubRSX just call me rant, and heres my baby

Alright! Ordered and done!

I'll be getting my new BRZ on Monday and I'm super duper excited! I just moved to Michigan and the BRZ would be my first car ever! So yeah, hoping and expecting the vehicle to be worth the wait (I'm sure it would be!).

Also, I couldn't find any thread which had information on do's/ don't's for a new BRZ. I found the one thread which had the manual, but nothing other than that. Could someone please point me to the concerned link, if it is available?

For the first 1k: Try your damnedest to stay below 4k rpm and do not let it stay at the same rpm for extended periods (ie: if highway driving, alternate gears).

After first 1k: Have fun, but be mindful of the speed limits (note I didn't say you HAVE to obey the speed limits, but the cops might take notice if you don't).

If you decide to do some modifications, I suggest searching the forum for the specific mod you are looking to do to see if anyone as attempted it before.
