My theory is that meth injection and this intercooler will yield similar outcomes. Someone should prove me wrong though. I'm at 276 rwhp on pump/meth/70mm/full exhaust/bolt-ons and I don't think there's more in her without E85 or obviously the bigger blower.

From my understanding you are right. If you are running meth or e85 you MAY lose power with an intercooler

I am already planning to explore the bigger blower this winter/early spring. I will do the intercooler at that time. Bigger blower can support up to 500hp according to Sprintex specs.

I would be careful with a gray market upgraded Sprintex supercharger.

I wonder how it will fit. the s5-335 only looks to be .8 inches longer, although hood/pulley clearance is already tight.

You will also likely have to cut the hood.

I think it's going to be a bit more complicated. You have to keep the pulley aligned first, the rest of the fitment has to work around that. If it doesn't just bolt right up (which I think is most likely) you'll have to use an adapter plate, which will increase the height further.

Frankly, I think a cowl hood will be needed at the minimum. A custom crank pulley and tensioner bracket for a dedicated belt might be needed too.

All this grey market rubbish.

It's your local dealer planting seeds of doubt in your head.

If you purchase straight fr Sprintex you WILL still have a warranty. BUT if something did happen, you'd be up for the shipping both ways.

Which would be about $80-$120 each way.

These 100 page threads are bullshit. The first post should link to new posts that are new discussions that relate to this lot. Not just dumping it all into one thread.

I am asking seriously, I genuinely don't get it.

EDIT: added people to get an answer

The system that will be released will have 3 major advantages of purchasing gray market. The first being that our intercooler will be available in a version with a complete super charger system (pre-installed in the plenum). We will also have a more accessible MSRP in upgrade kit form. Lasty, because it would be an Innovate part, the product will have complete US warranty support unlike any gray market offering. While it sure is not fun to wait, the product will be right upon release and at a fair price point.

And will it be CARB approved (for those of us lucky/unlucky enough to live in the great state of California)?

I'm an explorer. I tend not to keep my warranties. It'll be ok.
