It's the results of an online poll, so I wouldn't blame Top Gear for making the choices, but the people voting. It does look like he says they are in order, since people voted, so the list is not disorganized. Either way, like someone else said, at the least the 86 made it.

are we still trying to find validation and approval for our choice in picking this car?
I thought we got that validation when we first drove it and took it for a corner. I guess its cool that we made another list.

Of course, have you ever pushed one to its pure grip? Great cars, great chassis.
It was a mass produce car that was good handling, easy to work on and easy to modify. *See RWD V8 conversion* Its more big in Europe then USA mostly because hatchback is a euro thing.
