Would have gone for WRB if I didn't already have a car in that exact color.
I always wanted a white car and to be honest, I would have preferred Aspen White but this is the best we can get now.

I went with DGM. While I'm sure this is true for all the colors, and no color looks bad on this car, DGM truly needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. I have yet to see a picture that shows the metal flakes in the paint properly.
My second choice was GBS, and it was a very close second. In fact, when I put in my order for a DGM at the dealership since they couldn't source one locally, they had a Limited GBS on the lot I could have picked up that week. But I was willing to wait because I really wanted a DGM Limited. Weeks later when the car came in and I went to pick it up and finally saw it in person, I instantly knew I made the right choice. DGM is the color for me. |

I have it narrowed down to SWP, DGM, and WRB.
SWP - This was my first choice because of the nice contrasts that others have talked about. However, these days I see so many white FRS's in my area that I'm already getting bored with it. DGM - I like the color a lot when it's clean, but every time I've seen one at a dealership it has looked really dusty....more so than equally dusty cars in brighter colors sitting right next to it. Seems they have a hard time keeping them looking clean. WRB - This is the color I'm currently leaning toward. It's a beautiful color, it doesn't show the dust as bad as the darker colors, and there won't be any FRS's around in this color. My only hesitation is, will it still look hot a few years from now. Guess ya' gotta live for today though. |

This. Classic Subaru sports color, will always be a valuable and timeless choice -- just like the STI red/pink accent color.

If I didn't already have 2 WRB WRXs before my BRZ, I would have probably chose WRB.
Then again, the BRZ decision was between WRB and DGM again and it just happened that a DGM was the first one they could find ![]() Absolutely glad I went with the DGM but the WRB is just.....well, it's just something special. |

Surprisingly the most popular frs color I see is black. Perhaps because the white ones cost extra.... Quote:

Conder how much time you have for washing, claying, waxing and detailing. If you don't have time for a weekly wash then you probably want white or silver I couldn't find white (2012) so went with the silver, its not a modern silver but reminds me of classic porsche silver. It can go a month without looking dirty. If I had the time to wash it frequently the dark grey is nice.

I was stuck with the same choice between swp and dgm. Availability was an issue also. No swp mt brz in my 4 state area. I went dgm and am very happy I did. I agree that the dgm is hard as far as wheel choice. I actually did my stock wheels a satin/semi gloss black and LOVE it. Also I came from a aspen white sti, which is a much more pure white. I think the swp looks dingy because the pearl. This is all my opinion but definitely see both in day and night if you can. I absolutely love the lightning red, but I'm not having a midlife crisis so....

I think someone brought up this method of color selection a while back on this forum:
Imagine walking outside to go to work with keys in your hand. Given two different color BRZs side by side, which would you select more often? After a year would your choice remain the same? It's interesting that the decision is somewhat easier when you imagine it as part of your daily routine instead of being influenced by the choices of others. |

Are you a clean freak? yes, please do not get black. You will be washing your car every week at least twice. SWP is the least color to show swirls. You might be crazy over swirls and chips. I love my WRB though it shows swirls easier than SWP and SSM.
DGM looks good in person but not on pictures. I'd say go with the one you love the most at the first sight. That is the color you want in the long run. Why not waiting for FRS monogram? Oh man, I wish I have a Red GT86!!! No kidding, hands down to that. |

I had my heart set on either SWP or if possible galaxy blue, leaning heavily toward the SWP. But then i saw the WRB and i was immediately sold because 1) you don't see many of them (there's so many white BRZs/FRS) and 2) I figured white was more of a "classy" color and I wanted "aggressive"

Was leaning towards an FRS.
Asphalt was the first choice, whiteout second and then argento. Decided to get a BRZ but DGM wasn't available for Canadians in 2013 so I was stuck between SWP or SSM. Both great colors but decided with SSM since it showed the lines a lot better and was less common than the SWP(I see SWP everywhere in my city). Also, when I compared colors in person, SSM was a lot more attractive to me in person. Like what a lot of users say, SSM looks best in dusk, night time or rainy days. Easy to clean and maintain and classic car color which will age well. My suggestion is to compare them in person. IMO: SSM, DGM, WRB and GBS don't look as great in pictures but in person they look amazing. SWP, Raven/Black, firestorm, and hot lava look amazing in pictures but not as great in person(Still great colors) Some days I regret not getting a SWP or spending that extra $3k for a DGM
