You might just be noticing the direct injection. It's loud and tappy sounding. How many miles are you at now?

Check out Su @ AGP. http://www.aggressiveperformance.net...t-information/

His specialty is MR2s but I'm sure he can handle 4AG no matter what car it's in.

Happens in neutral either when I'm braking or just coasting... This is definitely a new noise. The direct injection should be off when I'm coasting in neutral. I'll try to take a video or sound clip with it on my phone, this doesn't happen all the time just sometimes
@JackSmiley Also a place you can get your 4age worked on is AZN Motorsports in Vallejo

Has some QP damage, but frame's still good. Gotta change out the rear shocks coz they're blown but has 5.5k revolver springs in the rear. Gonna have to redo suspension either way. The motor's not acting right, im running hella rich and its sluggish. I got rhe car for $2k, came with some goodies though. ROLLA LIFE... i might swap the motor to a 3sge in the future.

Alright answer me this people, why would anyone buy a BMW from BMW of San Francisco? OR how dumb do you have to be to buy a car that probably costs $50k+ and now looks like a rental because of a decal you can't remove? If anything, this advertising strategy makes me not want to go to this dealership, and to recommend people go to any dealership but this one.

Just sayin'

Nice. Expensive swap but sure would be fun. You thinking turbo or beams?

What? 2k? No tofu tax? Keep it 16v. Do a high comp 16v learn to slide with that and you'll be better in the long run than just jumping straight to power. Mine was a stock blue top with an open diff and I got it plenty sideways. It's all about learning the car and the balance of weight and powerband. You'll also appreciate your FRS more after spending a lot of time in this.
