fr3nch13's Raven 2013 FR-S
So, I've had my car for 2 weeks now.
Well, today I had to scratch the itch and start the modding. After reading and watching a bunch of youtube videos on Plasti Dip (never heard of it until on here), I decided to go for it and to the badges. I did them right on the car. I do have to say, I'm very impressed. It's a cheap mod, and much easier then removing and painting the emblems. I wasn't sure about the matte finish, but after doing it, I love it! A piece of advice I learned: Do MANY LIGHT coats. This stuff likes to run just like spray paint. Unlike spray paint, you are peeling off the excess, so the more coats makes the extra stuff to peel off, thicker. This makes it less likely to break when removing. Anyway, here are the pictures: Doing the back (I didn't need the Poligrip coupon): ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In case anyone is wondering what the cans look like. I found them at Home Depot.

I may even just plasti dip the side markers. I still haven't found the headlights I want, and I don't want to crack the case on the oems. I've been looking at the OEMs on the BRZ, but I'm going for 0 chrome, and HID/led replacements for everything. |
