Box arrived!

Here's the box, without driver, in my trunk. It's a great looking box, quite solid, not too heavy, and fits nicely in the contoured corner. I'm still not fully decided if I want a sub in the trunk, nor is my wife, but if I do I'd use this box for the $250 I paid - a good setup from initial indications. Here's a bunch of pics of the fit...

Yep - definitely a thumbs up for me. I still need to decide if I want to keep it and do an audio install. It seems easy to put in/out and will require some minimal restraining mechanism. I may run with it in the trunk a while to see if we miss the corner space.

I'd really like to see this company's 8" enclosure now too, to see if it's much smaller. Perhaps I'll purchase one of those now too!

For reference, here's the enclosure website again...

I bought one of the customsubenclosure boxes recently. Nice build quality but no way to secure it. Vendor recommended velcro or screws. Haven't had alot of luck with the velcro so far. The velcro just won't stay stuck, though I haven't resorted to a liquid adhesive to adhere patches to the box and interior panel yet. Box also doesn't sit flat on the floor so I'm using a roll of tape under the front ring to prop it up snug into the corner. With the flexibility of the interior panel, I'm not so sure about leaving it secured purely to that anyway.

Was contemplating using the existing body clip holes behind the wheel well that the box snugs into. Secure in two bolts sticking out as studs, put matching holes in the box and essentially bolt the box to the wheel well. Not sure if two would be sufficient, but the whole thing weighs so little even with a sub that I don't think I should worry too much. Would be an absolute pita to remove though.

Opinions/ideas?

Does sound very nice, pretty much what I was hoping for, not too boomy or punchy. Running a pioneer ts-w260d4 off an alpine mrx-v70.

Same. I really want something custom but even the one 10 inch I have wants 1 cubic foot. Custom enclosures(company)'s is something like .88 cubic feet.
