Finally got my first ever comment. I was at a stoplight, and as I turned left, kid sitting at the red light in a pontiac bonneville (mid 90s i'd guess) literally hung halfway out his window, gave a thumbs up, and yelled "Now that's one hella sexy car!"

I've gotten a few nods / waves from WRX/STi owners. Never anything when parked though.

My 2 hour drive to NY was filled with compliments. When I stopped for gas the one toothed mechanic told me he loved my car and thought it was a Maserati coming in. Leaving the gas station I was in traffic and a guy with a girl driving pulls up and asks about the car, tells me it looks great, then takes some pictures. Driving on the highway I got a thumbs up for an older guy in a corvette convertible and another from a guy in a lexus convertible. Lastly as I was in traffic i was next to a prius filled with 5 guys and they were all banging on their window waving and giving me thumbs up.

It was a good day. Maybe it's because I dont live in the south but I have had 0 hate.

Yup, lots of people pull up next to me revving like there's money on the line or ride my bumper even if I'm in the slow lanes. Funny how my V6 Eclipses never got any of this.

Considering the people who put purple and pink rims on theirs, I think your red probably looks great on a Whiteout.

An older gentleman driving a VW GTI parked next to my car and struck up a conversation with me. He described my car as "simply smashing." Can't say I've heard that one before.

Believe I've posted a couple times in this thread. Anyway another one to share from last week.

Driving a major road here that is undergoing major construction. Normally a wide open 4 lane that they have chopped down to a very cramped 4 lane. Rough pavement and numerous little turns as they weave you in and out of various construction points. So I'm windows down, both hands on the wheel and driving has every bit of my attention.

Out of the corner of my eye I notice a car 'pacing' me. I get a lot of that driving this car, so much so that I don't pay any attention to it any more. I then hear "What car is that!" of course yelled loud enough for me to hear doing 45 mph, windows down, and in a lot of traffic.

I turn around to see a 30 ish woman driving a newer BMW 700 series with here window down and an expectant look on her face. I reply umm yell "its a Scion FRS" She responds "nice car" and speeds away in her 6 figure BMW.
