Good call...

Anyone else get a quote on price from their dealer for a pre-order? Are all deposits re-fundable or does it depend on the dealer?

Who else would pull the trigger on a pre-order for $500 over invoice? Vs waiting for VIP Pricing that is...

If I get offered 500 over invoice they'll have my deposit within seconds.

You guys could probably try to push for lower if you get more people interested.

New email from a different dealer I have contacted:

"If you place a direct factory order for you new BRZ with us we will offer you VIP Partner pricing.

At this point, other than Spring 2012 we still do not have an exact launch date, pricing or ordering capability on the all new BRZ. Please contact me for information on how to be first in line to order the new BRZ. It's the most interest we've ever had on a new product launch so we anticipate much more demand than supply easily through the first several years.
"

Are we still waiting to see if Subaru of America will offer VIP Pricing on the BRZ? Will we know by the time it comes to ordering?

Both of my dealers are willing to do the VIP Pricing once the car becomes available to order. That's encouraging news for me...

I don't think your local dealer knows much about the car. Or their lot just gets it last.

You should try to talk to a different dealer at the same location. He/she might have different info than the one you're talking with.

Are dealer options/accessories cheap enough at invoice pricing (with VIP Program) that it would be worth ordering a BRZ with virtually all dealer options/accessories? Wonder if a dealer would let you know of all the invoice prices on accessories before ordering...

The prices for the accessories/options are on the site. The VIP program only applies towards the car itself. Least that's what I got from the dealer I spoke with.

Has anyone else been offered to pre-order it for $500 over invoice or even a better deal? I feel like this may be a good opportunity that Im being offered here...
Make sure you get this in writing. If you do not, it means nothing. Verbal contracts will not hold up on a deposit pre-order. Guess how I know?

Yeah... don't count on it.

I wouldn't call it 100% official yet (as I haven't heard from SoA directly, although they are supposed to follow up with me next month), but the word I have is that the VIP team has decided that the BRZ is NOT going to be eligible for VIP program. Sorry guys.
