Plaque number has no correlation to build date... They put a random badge number on the car then register the numbered plaque to the vin.

they prolly add all the numbers at port and are randomly added as they come off the boats

I'm pretty sure mine was one of the ones that was held back in Japan as part of the supposed label fiasco and port inventory backlog. My original one that I ordered the day of the announcement was a unit procured w/ a build date of 5/24. No idea if or what the edition # was on that one. That one was also held back and newer units shipped ahead of it. I imagine they were just parked blocked in as they were packed to keep units rolling off the line w/o interruption due to whatever was causing the shipping delays.

Should we add build dates to the front page to track the plaques? Might be interesting.

There is a 10 series at Toyota/Scion of Concord (NC). I didn't see what number it was. I have to admit, the color looks so much better in person.

Yeah the internet just doesn't do this color justice. I've gotten a lot of compliments on the color
