Height is the issue. I can not stand the 4x4 look stock. No need to slam it or go hella flush. Just remove the wheel gap while remaining functional makes a huge difference in the appearance of the car.

Wheels are a mod, tires are not (like brake pads these are maintenance items, intended to be replaced). I did intake, exhaust, unichip and feel pretty good about those.

intake, exhaust, tune.

Once the stock tires wear out, get some better ones.

If you think stock is that awesome, you need to see what a properly valved, properly dialed in suspension can do. Remember, we hold all the local class records with zero power mods... (and I have this huge internal struggle with it being marginally faster than an S2k, depending on the track).

I just watched your latest Youtube vid with the Mustang, GT2/3, and S2K.

Awesome stuff! Amazing what you can do in this car with only 200hp. Around the turns you make the Mustang GT and Porsche look like they are running in place..

Those damned straights...

With equalized powerbands, the FR-S in that video would easily be ~1.5 seconds faster per lap than the S2k in that video. I was lapping 1:59, while he was lapping 1:56. It's a very power focused track. 40-100 times are extremely important, but you can see the FR-S's advantage at 100+ speeds, due to the far more efficient aero profile of the car, compared to the S2k.

The S2k driver (Jeff Ringer) is also the point leader in his class for S2k Challenge, and drives JMP's E30 and E46 time attack cars. He's fast.

Did you watch his perspective, as well as the Mustangs? You can see what's going on a lot better since the videos are properly metered...

I did watch the Mustang perspective (and saw the Porsche crash) but will have to checkout the S2K's. I did notice how the Mustang and Porsche would actually slow you guys down around the turns.

Another thing to note: the brakes on the FR-S make noise if you're braking at about 65% or less of threshold with the BBK + Project Mu 999. The FR-S can be braking, generally, in less than half the distance of what is seen when the GT3 and Boss302 are dictating the braking zone.

Here's the video for those that are wondering what thill and I are talking about:
