I would've gotten a manual but I'm always so busy texting while driving!

Every vehicle I've ever owned has been manual, so easy choice for my FR-S.
Taking a bit longer to get used to the new gear box (first 6-speed) but absolutely loving it so far.

Clearly you've never driven with your knees, while holding a burger, talking on the phone, holding your big gulp and shifting...

I almost signed on a manual but went with an auto just for my significant other; with her chemo she would barely have the energy for a manual, much less learn it.

If she's happy, I am as well.

I've also been getting stuck in traffic almost every other day after work and that late in the day I would not have the energy (or patience?) for a manual, so I don't regret my choice.

That is a good reason to go auto.

Best of luck to your better-half!

Driving manual all my life but because I am buying this car for my daughter. Therefore, I have to pick an automatic one. Can't be too selfish...

If my AT didn't have paddle shifters, I'm pretty sure I would have opted for Manual. But the paddles make me feel like I'm playing GT5 in real life.

Always owned/driven manuals and was definitely hesitant with my 10 Series in a/t, but it's been a blast driving! It obviously doesn't compare to the true feel of a manual gearbox, but Toyota/Subie did a damn good job w/the sequential shift...very quick & responsive & rev matching does what its supposed to!

Although extremely impressed with the A/T on the test drive, decided on the M/T for the 48 lb. lighter weight, shorter tranny gearing and $1K savings. Plus given the option, I'll always go M/T. I'm a control freak.

I went manual. First manual car that I've owned (second car I've owned). I initially learned to drive on my parent's old Mazda 626 and have had a motorcycle for 4 years now so manual transmission wasn't completely foreign to me. Has taken some getting used to though.
I went manual simply b/c it's a sports car and figured I'd go for the "full" experience.
