I have installed a front lip from Ebay. Fit is almost perfect. I threw away the hardware they sent with it and bought some plastic rivets at Autozone.

All I had to do is place the lip on the car. Drill the front bumper through the pre-drilled holes in the lip (I only used the drill bit and turned it by hand. The bumper material is so soft you don't need a drill or to even lift the car) and installed the rivets. Took me maybe 20 min total.

I got this one (hopefully the link will work): http://www.ebay.com/itm/330935125672?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p398 4.m1439.l2649

The supplied hardware was just crappy bolts and nuts like the ones you can get at any hardware store. The plastic rivets are much better.

Took it downtown to get lunch with a friend, then spent the afternoon ****ing around at his house. When I came out I discovered that someone had left me a present:

Unfortunately I have no idea when this happened. It definitely didn't happen while I was parked at my friend's, cause I was parked along a curb. Could have been any time in the last couple of days, I guess. I don't usually see the front right of my car when I'm at home (I walk out and approach the car from the left rear, hop in an go) and just haven't happened to have walked around the front of the car at all in the last 48 hours.

I still can't figure out how that could have happened. The long dark skid marks felt like rubber, so all I can think of is that someone in a truck or SUV with big, balloon-y tyres basically ran over the spoiler with the edge of their tyre while their front wheels were turned at a big angle. Other than that I have no idea how you could hit only that area of the bumper and/or not cause more damage.

The good news is that the paint looks OK, the corner should be pop-able I think since it's just ABS plastic, and the star-shield seems to have absorbed most of the scuffing / scratching.

Always a pleasure leaving your car in public places :\

The bumper is soft plastic. You might be able to just pop it out although the paint might crack.
