The headroom allows for a helmet. This is important if you really want to enjoy the low COG.

My only disappointment is the no hatch, I feel that it the rear window came up with the truck it would be perfect.

Hmmm I don't know how I feel about that idea

Wouldn't make the car a tad heavier?

i dont think the heavy thing would be the issue but rather the whole structural rigidity thing. not a big issue either way but this forum is pretty good at making mountains out of mole hills.

For info, the top isn't aluminum, it is a very lightweight high strength steel. That material and the 'pagoda' design is what adds to the rigidity of the coupe, reduces the aerodynamic drag, adds downforce and lowers the center of gravity all while keeping the weight down to a minimum.

Pretty much in line with the philosophy behind the car in the first place. I really don't think the factory will mess with it.

Hardtop all the way for me! I love the sexiness of the roof! My supra is a targa top and one of my z32's was ttop. I NEVER took them off! (Also have owned many sunroof cars that I rarely opened, although I did more than the removable top ones) It's kind of annoying in fact unless you are just going on a really long cruise. But if you are going back and forth to work or down to the store it sucks having to put em back onto go inside.

My supra is targa - would give anything for a hardtop
My last z32 was ttop- I sold and now have a "slicktop"
My dads FD rx7 is sunroof- I got a hardtop one
My FRS is hardtop- and you couldn't hold me at gunpoint an make me change it! Lol

Factory Targa? Hells yes.
Assuming the design wouldn't change the dynamics of the car that much.

The Targa is definitely the second greatest thing about my Supra. Not really sure how anyone could say they wouldn't want the roof to come off.
