Just paid my deposit. The dealer pulled up a list of about 5 names (including my name) with addresses that didn't show city or state on his computer screen but was labeled something like "first move up group". I'm not sure the list was complete, but I interpreted it as 5 people were moved up from the wait list.

Kanundrum from Scionlife here and both my and my Gf signed up with no luck.

I had this in mind as a 100% track car

my plans from day 1 were the following

1. Pick it up from the dealer
2. 3 to 4 hours later after a lot of hooning and driving around take all unneeded components out of the car. All interior bits, rear seats, spare tire all trim, etc.
3. Get it rolled cage
4. (Optional) drift into a light post

lol. Seriously though I hope there is still hope to be the first 86 ? Steps 1 thru 3 were 100% serious on my end.

LOL @ #4 !!

sad thing is there really are a lot of 15 yr olds (based on talking to my cousins) who think that the FRS is literally going to turn them into Fujiwara the drift mastah upon purchase...and thats gonna get people killed and create another PR nightmare for toyota "it was unintended...drifting..."

I guess its the old man in me...im not letting that kid anywhere near my FRS haha

My friend told me about this FRz car and talked me into signing up to win. Well I was called Saturday saying I got in on the wait list. Went into the dealer yesterday and they told me how lucky I was since I got in on the wait list and they claimed I was one of only two wait list winners.

I went ahead and reserved mine. Aquamarine with manual transmission. My friend is of course jealous since he wanted one and didn't win and I did. I figured I needed a fun little car and this seems fun like a miata or something. According to my dealer I was the last to get it so I wouldn't hold out much hope if you're still waiting for more to be released. Then again, not sure how much they can know about others, its just what he told me.

My buddy told me about this forum so I had to come let everyone know about my fun little story. Look forward to seeing this car and playing with it.
