free car washes at a dealership = free headaches for a lifetime.

I'm done with service department damages personally.

I would just like to point out that nothing is free at a dealership. Except maybe the coffee.

my dealer gave me a free year of washes at the washtub and also free washes when i get an oil change. yes they're both automated washes and probably give swirl marks, but i'm not super anal about stuff like that.

My dealer in Wichita does that. Like you said, as long as the service department is open. It's not the best wash ever and you gotta wait for a little longer because they take your car back, but it is free.

Just a caution but i wouldn't use the powerwasher when you wash your car all the time. I was told ,they strip essential elements of the paint that overtime and use, will eventually show the damage it causes (paint fading etc). I too bought a powerwasher for the sole purpose of cleaning this car but after finding this out, I just use it to clean the wheel well and under body when I feel like it ( which is not often- maybe 1 or 2 times a year).

just my 2 cents

Dealerships will say anything to get you to buy the car.

They have offered me the same (free car wash for life), never used it and never will.

Really only have to worry about the gas powered ones tbh. The electric ones can't put out that much pressure.

I got a 5 year detail package. Twice a year for five years, and it came with a warranty for the paint and interior. But it wasn't free lol...
