Press 6 key question?

I'm hoping someone can help me. Every once and a while when I make a phone call I can't talk to people on the other end and it says on the screen to "push 6 key". But that does nothing. So I have to wait until I turn the car off and get back in and it usually works. Any ideas what the problem is? It's really annoying.

You're not answering the phone itself correct? You're pressing the "Call" button to answer? I know with my iPhone, if I answer the phone instead of pushing the button it won't bluetooth to the car. It'll just answer on the phone.

No I'm trying to call out.

Sorry, I guess I read the original post incorrectly. What kind of phone are you using?

Hmmm. Sadly I don't know much about the s4. When calling, on the screen of the phone, is there an option for the call to come to the phone or come through bluetooth? I know in the past I have had to transfer the call back to the phone, then bluetooth in order for it to go through. Just a thought.

I own an s4 and have never had this problem with the radio. You have the stock or BeSpoke radio? I have the stock and it works fine for me all the time. Things you could try would be:
1. Turn the radio off.
2. When Off, hold in volume button, should beep and open the "hidden" menu.
3. Set Car type to FR-S.
4. Turn the radio back on and reset your bluetooth links completely. Both on your phone and on the radio.

That's the only thing I could think of. Otherwise it might be something with the phone itself. take it to a scion/toyota dealership and see if they can't help you fix the problem. Good luck!

Just read my owner's manual for the stereo. Normally a case of TLDR, but, this peaked my curiosity because I saw it on my screen as well wondering why would I press 6. Apparently pressing 6 will turn off the Bluetooth mic in the car and transfer all phone controls to your handset.
