Yeah PSA for anyone looking to get this stuff Carson Toyota had it all in stock about 2 weeks ago now and the prices were lower than Amayama (shipped to Oregon)

I can't decide if I want to do this with my BRZ Premium... Its such an odd ball interior because it has SOME black bits and SOME silver bits. I'm still not sold on which dash I want either in terms of color. The silver one is awefully shiny but the flat black looks a bit cheap.

Just wanted to update everyone. I got the package finally (it didnt ship out until August 30th from Japan because of some holiday there). It only took 4 days to get here from Japan.. I'm pretty impressed.
And just to confirm. ALL of the part numbers I posted that are also in SuperHatch's post are the correct black parts (and I always chose the cheaper of the 2 parts if it gave me an option):

I didn't install the knee pad parts because I'm not sure how to access the center console screws in my limited. The only write up is for a premium model and I didn't feel like breaking anything being a labrat right now (plus I didn't have a lot of time). I also did not yet install the door handles and the steering wheel part. I'll probably do that stuff tomorrow as I have the whole day to finish up the install and then wash the car. One thing I will say (and I noticed on some pictures of other installs too now that I've done it myself) is that the door grip part (that you grab to close the door from inside) does not fit as flush as the silver one did. It might have to do with the fact that there are little built in tab things and if you just pull the piece straight off it kind of bends them and they probably dont function as well then. I think to get this piece off you need to pop the bottom off and then sort of jimmy it left/right to get the clips off of those tabs. |
