No plate on front, smoked cover on rear. Not an issue up here. Most cops will light you up for something worse, speeding, hooning etc. and let you go with no front plate or obstructed plate ticket. Which is fixed easy.

I've been driving from Suffolk to manhatten for 16 yrs and you should see the gauntlet of cops I have to drive past. It's really bad in Nassau county there's a cop hiding somewhere every couple of miles. You have to be really careful at the end of the month because they are all trying to fill their quotas which by the way get bigger and bigger every couple years.

unlucky bro. I've been rocking no front plate for over 2 years on 2 different cars. Even my buddies are braving up now. *knock on wood though* A lot of times, tickets can be negotiated away right when the cop pulls you over. I get pulled over all the time, but my last ticket was probably a year ago; rookie cop, tint ticket, on one window lol.

I've got until 9/23 to put my front plate on. Hopefully my plates will arrive before then. I had the dealership (Ramsey Subaru in NJ) not drill the front bumper for the plate so I can use the Grimmspeed relocation kit instead. I'll put that on when I get the plate.

They say it takes 2 weeks to get the plate, give or take, so I should be fine. I just don't want to deal with the hassle of getting pulled over for not having one even though I'm legal until the 23rd.

For a quick fix, just use the bottom two holes. Put the stock plate mount on upside down and install the plate that way. A friend of mine did that to avoid drilling the upper hole ad it actually looks pretty good.

but your plate pops right back on, correct? they still gave you a ticket?

Pretty sure you can mail in a photo of your car, with plate installed, and they drop the ticket. I did that years ago with my integra for both the front plate and tint (was supposed to remove the tint - I mailed a very similar car with no tint - heheh)
