I had lots of 3rd gear syncro feel for a long time, but it seemed to stop after 10,000 miles. Shifts great now.

Same with my 4th gear exactly after 10k miles. Interesting.

I just passed 10k as well and noticed the shifting a little more smoother.

Seems like a noticeable pattern for the transmission. My 4th gear used to be scary going into for the first time and if I went into it again it would be okay. But since 10k miles I'm good. Downshifting 6th to 5th (going 70 mph+)will grind sometimes unless if I do it extremely slowly as of right now.

I havent had any problems downshifting (try to rev match when I can) but the odd time it is tough to get into first gear while stopped. Happened more in the winter due to the cold, but still happens now on warm days. Ive had a couple cars that I would have to bump second to get into first smoothly, but doesnt work with the frs... It does not grind into gear, just tough and takes a bit of playing sometimes. Hot, cold, doesnt seem to matter. Also, second gear actually grinded a couple times trying to 1-2 shift.
I heard thinner trans oil has helped some ppl with similar problems up here in cold Canada. thoughts?

This exact same thing is happening to me. I took it to the dealer for them to check it out. They said they ordered the parts and will fix it. That was a month ago. I'm still waiting for their call.

Did yours have a crunch when you shifted into 3rd while barely accelerating? Mines fine if I accelerate a decent amount, perfectly smooth. I hope mines stops at 10k miles...I currently have 2700 miles.

i have that crunch in 3rd as well if i'm light on the gas. Mine seems to change all around how it feels every so often. At the moment, i have 2nd feel real rough downshifting from any gear at any rpm and 1st often gets stuck half way in at a dead stop with the clutch in for a few seconds. No grinds though. I dunno what its deal is. i'm at 4500 miles

Yes, I sometimes feel an uncomfortable click when shifting to third at the wrong speed. I think it also has to do with shifting technique - these days I hold the shifter in my hand while putting it in gear, rather than just throwing it in gear like I used to. The gearbox is temperamental, sometimes it wants to be held and rowed, and sometimes it wants to be thrown.

Same problems here, 1st gear gets stuck halfway in- not a huge problem but it is a fault.

Sometimes the car is such a breeze to drive, and is very smooth going between gears and getting to speed without fussing and puts a big smile on my face- and then other days the car seems so jarringly rough and unsettled and is hard to drive. Not sure if I just suck at driving or if the car has hidden bugs in it that make the car difficult to drive.

What's worse is when you don't realize you missed putting it in 1st, so it pops right back out of gear or starts grinding. -cringe-
