Semper Fi, cool avatar and nice stable you've had. Any comparisons FR-S vs. 135i M?

Well my bimmer had quite a bit of power, I had a tune with catless downpipes and midpipes. The FR-S is more fun to drive, the bimmer felt heavy and although it was quicker it got horrible gas mileage and felt like a boat through the turns. I'm excited to start modifying the FR-S!

Other baby seems happy to have another friend!

Looks like the kids have been playing in the dirt again!!

FWIW, ordered day of the announcement in April. Through comedy of errors, 4 dealerships and 5 months later, finally have her and 486 seems worth the wait.

To Be honest I couldn't get the child seat in through the drives side but no problem on the passengers side. My wife is pretty cramped when sitting in front. but it doesn't bother me since I got all my leg room. Today however she sat behind me while I was driving and she was much more confortable.

I didn't read through all the pages, but can someone quickly tell me if / how I can disable the illuminescent "SCION" dash light? And also if i could disable the front / rear exterior "SCION" emblem lights? I believe there is a switch to turn on/off the shift knob illuminator.

There's a 10-series at my local dealership that I absolutely like the interior push start / dual climate control unit (looks waaaaay better than the cheap stock one) and the headlights are nice. But I can't stand the cheesy other stuff I want to disable.

For illuminated dash there is a small round switch under the steering column that turns in on/off. The outside scion emblems there is a relay that can be detached that turns these off. I can't find the post that says how to do this, but I believe it has been said to be done.

The shiftknob only comes with Automatics, and if you are in the US the dealer will give you the glowing shiftknob and the standard shiftknob, so you can either switch to standard shiftknob, or there is a switch on the knob itself to turn on/off.

Edit: For the scion emblems..."I know the relay for them is above the pedals, to the left; pull out one of the wires from it and they cease to function (found out by accident - don't ask how lol)" - from this thread

As Stated above there's a switch under the steering column to cut off the dash panel and the easiest way to turn off the emblems is to just unplug the harness to them.

Understand before you screw these emblems up which wasn't posted in that other thread they cost almost $400.00 each to replace.

I didn't think I was going to like them but they do grow on you over time so my advice is to wait a few weeks before removing or cutting them off.

I had accidentally pulled out one of the wires on the relay and when they ceased to function I missed that welcoming glow. At meets most people think its kinda cool it does that when I walk near it. Some make a snarky "thats why its a scion" remark, but I honestly give no effs, I love it :happy0180:

Do you need to drill holes for the TRD spoiler application? or is this just adhesive?
