Grimmspeed license relocation issue

So, I recently got the Grimmspeed license plate relocation and I followed their site to install it but I ran into a few issues:

The shaft or whatever it's called that goes into the tow hook area doesn't stop turning like a normal screw is supposed to

And

I noticed that every time I took the car out for a drive, the license plate would be turned around and then I would have to turn it back into its normal position.

This is my first time getting something like this for a car and what not so... What am I doing wrong or is there a fix for this?

Tighten it more? I know mine slipped for a little until I tightened the hell out of it. I think it has more threading than we think.

Is it rotating at the actual plate mount or the shaft in the tow hook? And how did you use the spacers (if at all)?

What do you mean it doesn't stop turning? You keep turning it until it stops, then you torque it to 45 ft-lb. Make sure you put some anti seize on the threads.

Your plate backing that attaches to the "U" bracket that attaches to the shaft is not on tight enough, so as you tighten the screw until catches the rotate the plate counter clockwise then as you tighten rotate it clockwise. Repeat a few times until its straight and tight, or whatever position you want it then you should be fine. Put some anti seize on the bolt that goes into the shaft that attaches your plates.

btw, make sure that you tighten the screw on your front plates until snug, one of mine fell off when driving.

Hope this helps

Attempted to tighten it but it doesnt stop turning lol... I guess I can describe it as freely spinning?

I think it's the shaft not the mount. After a ride, i look at it and my plate is like vertical and I can't move the plate without making the shaft turn with it.

Keep turning, it should't just keep going on and on, if so then you may have a problem with it.

Aww man well I guess I have a problem with it because it does go on and on... It make a noise when I keep turning it like it stops turning, "jumps" and then restarts the turning process

It is impossible for it keeps turning because the shaft is not thread all the way. It must stop at some point. Unless they sent you the wrong size one.

Yeah, definitely contact Grimmspeed, it shouldn't "jump". I'm sure they will send you a replacement.

For the "jump" I can only assume the threading of that shaft is not correct...

I had that happen to me... I just kept turning and turning without success. I eventually just pushed it in a bit while turning and it eventually threaded tightly. I guess I had too much anti seize on or something... I just installed it this Friday.
