I think we would both prefer to do it on a Saturday, bit GoodSpeed doesn't run the dyno on Saturdays very often. Nothing solid yet.

Plus I can't wait to see your car's performance since the issues were solved!

I don't think that's actually the whole of what happened, but there may have been a bias in the testing. Considering the apparent strength of the OEM intake design for NA cars, the majority of the power increase seems to be coming from a change in filter material. Like @evo4g63 said before, for pure performance, a drop in filter is the best value.

Well Brent said it for me. Kudos buddy

I can't either, lol! I think I'm waking up early tomorrow and putting these bad boys on. No more drift mode when I hit a mid-corner bump and bottom out the suspension.

Too bad I don't practice what I preach. Of course I kind of came to this realization after putting on the TRD intake.

That's okay. You know what the benefits are of the drop in vs an AM intake system. I am not any better. Now I am going in a different direction on my car. No more go fast bits.

traction control issues

I was playing in the rain tonight in a cool section at the south end of my subdivision where the streets have been paved for a while but no houses yet. I hit both buttons to supposedly turn off all assistance. It wouldn't let me get sideways. The yellow light on the tach would come on and cut out the engine every time I tried to slide it. Did I have it set wrong or is there a problem with the car? Considering popping the traction control fuses out and seeing what happens. Didn't buy this thing to have the nannies run my life. Any thoughts?

@40flash My usual method for disabling the nannies is to hold the trac off button for 3 to 5 seconds (until two lights light up on the dash). If the green sport mode light is lit on the dash the vsc will still intervene if the slip angle becomes too large, or if the ecu thinks a spin is pending.

There's also the pedal dance to disable absolutely everything except abs. That one is kinda complicated since it's the method to engage a dealer diagnostic mode, and not meant for owners to use. There are a few informative threads about it in the track driving section of the forum.

I took my nephew for pizza tonight and was able to do donuts in a empty parking lot while it rained. I don't know why you wouldn't be able to get sideways T_T;;;

never tried the pedal dance, maybe someday

Ya, like Brent said hold the traction control button down for 3 to 5 seconds. Not the sport mode button. Dont hold both buttons, just the left one.
Or do pedal dance.....:sly:
