Tested the Borla EL header. No increase in power from bolting it on. A re-tune may have done something as there is no more cat restriction causing heat build-up but time was ticking on the dyno and I wanted to get the small pulley in for as much tuning as possible. So we put the pulley on and started tuning.
Did a bunch of prelim dyno tuning with @moto-mike testing the smaller pulley on CA pump with water meth inj. I am registering an increase of 3 peak psi. The top end is still being worked out but basically 20-25 ft lbs of torque everywhere vs the stock pulley. More to report soon.

My supercharger is getting installed today.
Had a call before. Mechanic doesnt believe pulley is rotating perfectly true, about 1.5mm out. He believes will increase likeliness of throwing belts. He's taken pulley off looking for debris and found none. Also some other checks. He's going to do up an email and video and send to Bullet for their advise. However, thought I'd come here in case anyone else has experienced/noticed this? Thanks. |

Hi Tom and Mike. I just happened to give the SC a bit of a once over before starting the job and noticed that the Pulley is not running true on the input shaft. - I checked that all pulley bolts were tight Here is a link to a video on youtube showing the movement After filming the video, I removed the 4 pulley bolts and inspected the mounting flange and the inside of the pulley for any debris etc that may be causing the run out. But I didnt find anything. The pulley mount on the input shaft appears to be running true (this was inspected by eye as I dont have a DTI available) and a quick measure of the depth on the back of the pulley came up relatively even (once again this was only done using verniers) The internal mounting surface of the pulley appears to be true to the belt drive section, leading me to believe that the pulley is not bent. I would target my concerns to a possible high spot or mismachining of either the pulley internal surface or the mounting flange. Cheers Beau |

Question for those on e85/93, what do you do if you are on a road trip and the gas station only has 91?

I had a few quick pulls with a buddies Mazdaspeed3 with bolt ons and 50/50 e85 mix. Pulled ahead by about a car by top of fourth. He was a bit surprised at what the little blower on stock pulley could do. All runs done in Mexico of course.

Yes. After the header install my peak boost was 8.5 psi. After the pulley it jumped up to 11.5 psi.
