How did this ever get passed QC. They get top dollar for their products.. You should raise hell and get what you paid for..
I tried giving my vendor time to talk with their rep and resolve the issue reasonably. As this has not happened, I am at this very moment taking more proactive measures - including petitioning the site admins to outright prohibit the sale of HKS products on these forums.

Hate to bring up an old subject, but did anyone end up getting this resolved with HKS? Anyone else finding cracks in their HKS systems?

Spoke to a couple people that had their hks exhaust replaced under warranty. Hks admitted their welder was running out of spec and caused weak welds. New replaced ones are good to go.

My legamax has not had any problems at all!

As an update, after 3 months of e-mailing my vendor to hassle HKS I had a replacement midpipe just show up at my door one day.

New piping has brackets to reinforce the welds near the resonator.

So GregV, I'm new to the forums and have an FR-S with the HKS Hipower Spec L Ti tips that was purchased before reading any of these horror stories.

So is it the current understanding that these brackets are an easy way to determine if a unit is affected? I got mine in late April and I just went out to check on it after reading this thread. Turns out mine has the brackets already.
