Buyer beware

Sounds to me like your issue is with the person who sold it to you. I assume you bought it fairly cheap otherwise you would have bought a new one from Borla and not had these problems. It is annoying but very few companies would honour a warranty on something that had been fitted on one vehicle, removed and then fitted on another as any number of problems could be caused by doing so. I can understand you think it sucks and that you think it is a mnaufacturing issue, but the old saying buyer beware should not be forgotten, especially with used goods. I always wonder why someone would fit a header for only 50 miles then decide to spend more money on another one. I know there can be genuine reasons for it, but it could also be because they weren't happy with the quality either.

fixed my header today...
bolted on an Agency Power, now it sounds like it should and doesnt leak. It also looks like it was welded by an adult and not a 3 year old.

welds look great, fit was perfect, and it came with a brace installed to keep it from getting tweaked in shipping.
No rasp or rattle with a full catless setup.

I must have read it wrong cos I am sure you said that the guy you bought it off had only run it for a short time so I naturally assumed it had been installed.

Hope you get it sorted one way or the other and at least you now have a decent header on the car. Hopefully the Shit Luck is a thing of the past

New revised units are in. These include an improved flex joint and manufacturing process. And like always include a lifetime warranty from Borla.

Just fixed my borla rattle can issue.. New RevWorks header installed.. Sounds great. No rattle. (Bought the borla second hand, so ya they walked away from the warranty)

I also fixed my Borla rattle can issue recently. I had new flex sections (like the new Borla revision) welded in. Sounds great, no rattle and it still cost less than a Revworks header. I also don't have to worry about it cracking due to a lack of flex joints.

Its about bloody time they fix their design I went through 2 of them then just said Fuck it I'm out.

While you had the flex sections fixed... Looks like that flange is not flat, is that a leak? there is carbon build up on it reaching the outside edge. Both my borlas did the same thing, flanges had carbon build up on them and leaked... or is that just shop dirt?

Flanges are flat but one had a slight leak due to re-using old gaskets. My exhaust guy applied a little copper RTV so no more leak. If it ever leaks again I'll install new gaskets.

Once the rattles are gone it does sound sweet. In retrospect I wish I had waited and bought FT86 Speedfactory catless or JDL UEL instead. The new Borla design looks promising as well.

Rumble = good
Rattle = very bad
