did some research and apparently Jack Hollis, CEO of scion HAS deep interest in a compct pick-up

Some speculate it will be the Toyota ABAT that appear some years ago

while others think it will be all new

someone's render

the latter looking more like an Aussie Ute than a compact truck.

that's cuz the latter looks like someone took the Fuze concept (which supposedly previewed the next tC at the time) and gave it a truck bed.

I'd like to see Scion offer a small truck. Considering the compact trucks nowadays are practically the full size trucks of the early 90s. theres definitely room for something smaller since everything has gotten enourmous over the years.
They just need to fix the xB (less 'corolla wagon/van thing, more first gen xB) and ditch the xD (since its pretty much the same thing as a Yaris but with a Corolla motor) and they'll have lineup space.

That Tundra still uses the same chassis, I don't consider it all new. All new will arrive in a few years.

Tundra's serve their purpose. They spank that american ass and tow more in a buy off the lot no waiting or customizing for a bigger motor stock truck. But it would be nice if they outfitted a diesel motor and great tranny to compete with the other diesels.

2014 Tundra Just Came In!

We got our first 2014 Tundra in today. It is a Crew Max SR5 package. I made a quick video of it pointing out some of the differences that I noticed between the previous generation and the new one. Overall it's, not really much of a total redesign like from 2006 to the 2007 models, but they did change a good bit of things that you may not notice right away like how the hood opens, rear seat no longer slides, no more dual temp controls unless you get the Limited/Platinums and some other stuff.

I didn't get a chance to drive it other than around the lot. It didn't really feel that much different than the current models. When I get more time, I want to take it out back to back with a 2013 to see if there are any changes that I can tell. I read some articles that said there were some suspension changes so I'll have to see what I notice.

The interior is a shitton better than the old one. But it looks like it was lifted out of a Ford lol.

Frame, wheelbase etc is all the same, but the sheet metal and design makes it seem bigger than the previous model. I was hoping Toyota would incorporate the brake controller into the lower dash like Ford does. I think that is a very nice touch. There isn't a good spot to mount one in a Tundra that doesn't bother the driver in one way or another.

Thanks @Ruskmx for the video. Nice looking truck, although overall I don't like modern trucks.

I have grown up around trucks all my life, (my Grandfathers were both farmers and my Dad owned a roofing/construction company). I would honestly rather have a late '60s to late '70's pickup than anything on the road these days. The 70's/80's small trucks are OK too.

I guess its just I see a truck as a "practical" vehicle. When I was high school and college age you drove a truck because you either needed it for work or because you couldn't afford a car. That part has definitely changed!

Not digging it. I love my day's 04 Tundra and the years after that, up until this. The rear looks like a Silverado and the front... I don't know what that looks like.
