What he said hehe. Loaner vehicle. Tranny is being rebuilt or replaced, haven't figured out which one yet. Gotta love warranties though.

Wish I could say something badass like I launched it super hard and the tranny fell out, but it was just grinding in fourth gear. Showed up a few thousand miles ago, really bad grinding sound and feeling when shifting into fourth, especially in the higher revs. Felt pretty terrible if I didn't gingerly shift

Bummer, might have just had a bad syncro. Mines still silky smooth.

hope they fix it good then. did you ask them about the ECU reflash as well?

I was thinking it's pointless, but I might as well find out if I have the latest flash or not. The real question will be if they can update me if I have the older one

I know Toyota has flashed my car at least twice when I've been in for oil changes or whatever.

Also, took 39k to get my first CEL.

Bummer about your tranny, but hooray warranty! I've had my car reflashed a couple of times as well (first for the rough idle, second time for something else I don't remember). FYI, have them do it now, it turns out it takes it about 1.5-2 hrs to reflash
