Dang, that is cheap, evom charges over 400 i think. Maybee i should have gotten the pro version of brzedit and been offering eTunes all along..... Anyway. This whole JV thing is the main reason i have been trying to help educate members about tuning. If people had been reviewing their ecutek logs from the beginning, the situation would not have gotten so far out of hand. JV, from what i understand, has a track record of hit it and quit it with poor quality tunes. As I understand it, this is not the first community he has been chased out of... not that he is out yet.. but you get my drift. I think the end users community needs to bear some of the responsibility for allowing mediocre tuning work to be passed off as the gold standard. I know this community has a lot of people new to the modding scene that don't really know how to review logs or what to look for when they do. Fortunately there are some of us that do and we offer to help others for the sake of the community. There is a wealth of information available on romraider and many other subaru, and non subaru forums for that matter, I hope that in time the community knowledge will grow to the point that some of the work i have seen would not be accepted by a customer of a professional tuner. Anyway, I'm glad to see people starting to come forward and compare notes on their tuning experience, it will only help our platform grow as we demand higher quality from the tuning community.

Bah, switching back to the FA20Club tune. This visconti tune feels like stock NA in the upper RPM range.

I wonder what ever happened with all of that. People were asking for their parts and getting nowhere....

Sure man, Shoot me a pm and refresh my memory on your current and planned mods / tune etc. Generally speaking you want to look for knock retard and a sane AFR first to make sure your not knocking. Next would be fuel trims, both long and short term. Beyond that it becomes more about how the car feels and how it behaves in different driving conditions. I'm happy to elaborate more on a log by log basis.

here is what /Rant on Can't get a part that doesn't exist. I sent in my part in good faith for him to modify, send back. Fucker never modded it nor returned it, that's called a theif. Poser pretended he had something. Last I checked he uses a manual controller, nothing wrong with that but I have me one of those on my 1983 turbo. I don't think he knows how to do it. Fa20 and Perrin and most other tunes have a little more to their operation than just a lap top, look at full blown p&l, tony, Jeff, just about anyone else, all folks I either have worked with or look forward to, and none of my vendors have given me grief. While Perrin has me covered now, and covered well in that regard, I had to shell outta my own gawddamn pocket for a replacement tube a la carte from vortech, and that was worth some good coin I won't be seeing again. A track day and fuel. You'd be berserk pissed, if you were taken advantage of this way as a tester paying to ship a reputed then tuner your prized vortech kits parts leaving your ride disabled. Being banned at the time, i coudnt say nothing. he took advantage of me, my ban, the forum, and the moderators for his own benefit as seems his nature, so yeah, he just got away with it. Obviously I been holding this in, but in light of the Forrest fires he seems to be associated with, don't mind if I do blow some smoke his way. It's deserved. I emailed him tracking and he dropped off face of earth. G'head. Defend yourself. No call back biatch. /rant off Im hindu. Karma is a REAL bitch, and I'd say its catching up faster than my forced induction setup,LOL based on what others have been posting, seems lots of folks get left hanging by this here moron. Go cry to have me banned, again, what else can ya do? You sure cant tune a car it seems. You cost me money time and frustration. FU. You rejoiced when I burned, now its my turn. But you have so much more to loose than me. As it is, accessing the forum to read let alone post is a strenuous excersize for me. I can't from home or my iPad, have to use my wife's, or go in thru hoops. Taking advantage of that is pretty low. I want my part back. You don't have an angle or any talent with ebcs, or in general. Okay, there, that's out. I feel better, a little. I'm done with the v-bash sesh. I know I will never see my part again, that was back in April Last edited by kiichiro; 08-28-2013 at 01:52 AM. |
