Just wanted to post a HUGE thanks for this DIY; saved me a ton of time, and had no idea how easy the pedal removal was. Took a total of 2 minutes to take it out and 2 to put it back in.

I had the SRP pedals in my CTS-V, and they were nice, but I just did not like the idea of drilling anything, which is why I went with the Cusco piece. They both look very similar, but I think the SRP pedal actually has a more pronounced lip on the left side.

I tried the Cusco pedal, it sits too high for heel toeing on the track, stock position is perfect, hence i returned it and got SRP and cant be happier

The OEM pedals need to be drilled after you pop off the sport pedal covers. It's a bitch and a half.

Thanks! I assumed the pedals installed right now are the base pedals, I haven't thought about them being just clipped/installed on top of the base pedals.

question about the SRP and the Cusco gas pedals... how high do they sit with respect to the brakes? (when none of the pedals are depressed) About level or higher?

I like both so I'm trying to figure out which to get.

They will both be the same; they both just cover the factory metal pedals. If you look at the level of the factory pedal, the gas pedal sits lower than the brake and clutch.

They are not the same. The SRP requires removal of the factory metal cover, or at least that's how it is supposed to be installed. However, even with factory cover removed it will still be slightly higher than the factory cover as the SRP is thicker by about 2mm.

Ok, let me clarify. NEITHER will be level or above the height of the brake or clutch pedal, as the gas pedal itself is significantly lower than the rest of the pedals.

yeah, you didn't understand or answer my question

The SRP installs in PLACE of the stock pedal.
The CUSCO installs on TOP of the stock pedal.

I want to know what the final NET height of both pedals are because I want the one that is closest to being even with the brakes so I can heel-toe easier.

None of the options look the best (as they don't match stock), and they both seem like they have pros and cons. I like how the Cusco sits higher but I like how the SRP has a wider side.

Your question was "how high do they sit with respect to the brakes? (when none of the pedals are depressed) About level or higher?" - and I answered neither - the gas pedal sits significantly lower than the brake/clutch pedal.


The Cusco sits higher, but there is some room for play, so if you are wanting the gas pedal to be closer to the brake pedal, which the SRP pedal offers with the wide side, you can simply adjust the Cusco pedal off to the side. I liked that adjustability of the Cusco. I also did not like the idea of drilling the pedal. I had SRP pedals on my CTS-V and they were good, but it's nice to be able to adjust the pedal if I need to.

After trying to install the cusco pedal for close to 30mins I gave up, logged in to this forum to look for installation tips....and found this thread. Went back to the car to try this method and finished the job in 15 mins. LoL.
