I agree Zaku in that I also want the best variant avialable. I just don't know if I can wait that long to wait for the STI variant to be released. My wife has a 350z which is getting very old (2004 model) and with high mileage so I don't see it being with us that much longer and I really want to replace that with this.
Color-wise, I wouldn't mind a white or black....depends on what each looks like in person of course.. |

so go out and try it. Even thought I like the BRZ if I can't afford it I'm not going to force it. I rather have the FRS and still be happy with it and be part of the community. I don't want pay more then 450$ a month for a car since I used to pay 402$. My job contract is ending soon too so it's job hunt again really soon. I think BRZ or FRS you'll be happy, and your wife would be too it's really chill you two both drive sports cars

Is your 350z a auto? I can't imagine a 350 to not be fun lol I always wanted one. But I I would of picked the S2000 over it. Can't wait either, I really excited to have a BRZ, I just wish out Mid A was alittle more active. I kind of miss the old community.

Yeah, the wifeys car is a automatic..mehh. The S2000 that I owned was a pure joy to drive. S2K isn't that accomodating in terms of luxury, features, and passenger comfort but one of the purest cards I've ever driven....actually thinking back I think I started liking pure sports cars because of the S.
BTW, I am actually surprised there aren't that many active members for the Mid-Atlantic region. I figured our region would have many users. Also, I found out that not that many people know about this car. A lot of people that I talk to have never even heard of this car....unfortunately, when I do tell them about the car they seem to go through internal vommiting hearing the engine specs and how 200hp these days are nothing. Although, I wouldn't mind having more members in this forum, I also do not want to see a Subaru BRZ that I will own in the future everywhere around town. I become sort of an elitest when it comes to this sort of stuff (that sounds bad but would really want to see a BRZ everywhere you go?). |

Yeah I know what you mean I do get that kinda of attitude from time to time, but honestly I don't mind because I'm not able to get the car right away. More people means more option for me to buy second hand later on, alot of my friends are looking to get the FRS mostly because they track often or it's there first car side from the hand me down Corolla they drive now. FRS is definitely a better choice then the BRZ when it comes to that, since BRZ will cost you more. I expect to see as many BRZ as we see WRX sti and as many FRS as we see Civic Si back in the day so think of it as a revival of the scene.
I owned a Civic Si and the S2000 guys definitely had that elitist attitude, but still most S2ki people are very nice and awesome I know many and been to their meets, Even with no car! I know I've gone to many meets with No car haha Im expecting to do that for FT86 meets as well. I sure how we get more people, but I think we will once the cars are out. Im hoping maybe we can have a coffee meet or something every weekend like the 370z guys, we can all meet somewhere. I dunno half way like DC? since some are in MD or VA or maybe we can go to Jeris's shop haha.

This site better be the defacto FRS/BRZ forum like S2Ki. Even though there aren't that many ppl in the Mid-Atlantic thread, I really don't mind being one of the first. We can be "The O-R-I-G-I-N-A-T-O-R-S."

from Arlington, VA here.
I said I had an ae 86 in my profile, but in actuality, I just wished that I had one. I'm an owner of a honda civic and looking to buy a more fun car to drive! FR-S and BRZ are my top choices. |
