Or, maybe he's giving me a high number hoping I'll be even more excited when the actual price is lower. Or, maybe he knows a little something and Scion is pricing the car higher than we think.

My guess goes with the first one (fingers crossed).
Quite honestly? I don't care if it's 30k. I know it'd be a deal breaker for a lot of people but I'm willing to buy the car for that much. I learned how to drive when I was little on a old corolla so to get a car that it was based on, I think it's badass. It would be neat if we get all the options though. I'm thinking 24/25k now though and am not going to worry too much about the price until I get that e-mail or call from Scion.

Yeah, I'm not worrying about the price. I've got too much other things going on in my life to be concerned about a car price. However, it is fun to speculate, and I'm impatient.

Even at 30k, it's a great looking car. I was considering Lexus 200h for a commute car, but FR-S fits the bill alot better in my eyes.

I personally don't care if they drive up the price a bit since I don't want to see EVERYONE driving one.

... do you want LFA style pricing? I hate to say it, but well... this car is not a exotic luxury supercar. 30k will make it exclusive alright. I don't' think the production will last past three years.

Well, it doesn't sound like they're making that many of them to begin with, so you shouldn't see too many of them driving aorund.

Then I would recommend LFA, GT-R, IS-F, GT3 RS-R, Italia, or like Reventon

Ya I read somewhere Sub/Scion are only expecting to sell around 3000-4000 in the launch year. Each to his own but IMO this isn't a car to be bought just because its great looking (even though it is). Its a car for for the driving experience

Totally agreed. Great looking car with agility, and pretty good MPG from what we've read. At low 20k, it would be a bargain imo. One thing that worries me is the insurance.

I have no idea how exclusive you want the car. Just scroll up to ichi's posts for more suggestions?

Every review I have ever read says the wrx needs a 6 speed. But to each their own!

It's going to be a 2.0 turbo...mark my words...

I am messing with u bro! Hehe!

I figured you knew the price since you said LFA style pricing? I guess you had no idea, but replied anyways.

Furthermore, ALL export-spec STI models since the introduction of the third generation have had the 2.5L engine. Subaru needs better emissions and mileage to survive CAFE. We will never see an engine like the EJ207 here. Period.

380 what? No EJ has ever made that much out of the factory. The current 2.5 makes as much power as the 2.0 with way more torque, which frankly is of better use on the street. Your blatant overstatements...they make me cry.
Wow you do love the 2.5! I see where you are coming from. It's possible that they will keep it, or use that engine in the Sti version but the 2.0 in the wrx.

Hey man it's all rumors. Don't be so uptight. This is an as1 forum...

Im over 25 so my premium will be lower than some of the younger guys out there. I dont expect it to be anything over 1500 and I have a speeding violation. Obviously there are a lot of variables but i got a quote for the 12 GC at 1300. Since the nav is standard i expect an anti theft device in the GPS which may help as well. Hopefully it will receive 5 star safety across the board.. not sure when that info will be released. Also the back seats (although useless) help lower the premium by quite a large margin.

yadda yadda yadda long story short, i dont think insurance will be too bad
