Nice ride! was curious if you got the limited or premium. I want to get the 2014 limited but seeing if I could opt out of the fog lights, as it looks way cleaner.

Thanks! It's a Premium that was ordered with a factory spoiler. I don't believe there's a way to get a Limited without fogs.

You could probably just find a set of premium lower side grills and swap them..or remove them and use them as brake ducts!

My @GrimmSpeed strut tower brace arrived today!
Installation was a breeze. The triangle is complete! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Alongside my hood struts and master cylinder brace, this makes 3 GrimmSpeed products in my engine bay which says a lot. Their stuff is super high quality and well-engineered to be functional. Can't wait to take it for a spin, lots of customers already reporting that the brace delivers a snappier steering response and noticeably less NVH. I'll report back with my own opinions later.

Just went to lunch and drove down a couple of the least suspension-friendly city streets in Atlanta (Boulevard and Moreland) to the restaurant and back home. If you're from Atlanta you'd likely agree that even though they are paved it's basically like off-roading when driving down them since they are riddled with potholes, cracks, deviations, and iron plates just waiting on unsuspecting motorists to destroy suspension components on.
The strut brace is definitely doing it's job. It has removed a significant amount of harshness over road deviations and flaws. The car feels more stable and planted going down city streets at normal speeds where before I had to drive slower than usual to not upset the car too much. I haven't done any spirited driving yet with the brace installed but my next track day is less than a month away so I'll know soon enough how it affects high speed cornering stability. In conclusion, the GrimmSpeed brace is definitely worth the $133 paid thanks to their awesome group buy pricing. It's a simple no-brainer mod that I'd recommend to all 86'ers looking to dress up their engine bay and improve the ride quality significantly. Last edited by ATL BRZ; 08-24-2013 at 10:51 PM. |

Cool! That would be perfect if we got paired up. It will be my first HOD event and based on the feedback from one of my previous students who referred me to HOD, you get A LOT of track time in one day with them.
Have you been to AMP before? Our cars are really well suited to it. Very busy and complex with lots of elevation change. You should also consider signing up for the SE86Club track day November 30th at AMP if you're available. It will be awesome to have an exclusive track day with other 86'ers. |

Gotta say I never liked the USDM Toms taillights, but after noticing it on your black BRZ avatar, the look complements much better on a darker vehicle.

Because I'm kinda lazy at the moment and forgetful, what exhaust do you have? They're just tips, right? That's what got me on to you in the first place last year, but I forget if you went for an actual exhaust yet. Thanks!
