A controller absolutely doesn't beat a mouse and keyboard. In fact, part of the reason MS didn't do cross-platform with PC on 360 FPSes is because in Shadowrun the PC gamers were obliterating the console players. They actually had it planned out for a whole range of games, but Shadowrun was their test, and it went down in a blaze of glory.

I think consoles have taken over the shooter genre because of the accessibility. Everyone has the same box and the same controller. Yeah, MLG pretty much focuses on RTS/MOBA/Arena combat for PCs now, but then you have entire conventions like Quakecon, and I think to some extent CS is still played. I'm not sure how a mouse and keyboard takes away from the experience at all, because when you're playing at tournament you're generally using headphones and a small screen. The only really big difference is you have a console game and a controller.

As far as racing goes, there are some great games on console. But then you have professionals actually using iRacing for practice.

I've seen pro PC Cod players.. They suck. Haha they don't know how to play the game correctly, have poor game tactics, game decisions are that of a beginner, they over extend into spawns, etc. I've seen "pro" PC CoD tourneys and Pro Xbox CoD tourneys. The Xbox CoD players far surpass the PC "pros". Both in skill and game mentality. The potentially good PC players stick to thing like LoL, WoW, Dota2, etc. You should watch MLG events. You might learn something about competitive play.

Yeah, on a slow game pad, in which I could spin around ten times at 4k dpi with a good mouse, in the time it takes me to turn 180 degrees on a controller. I'd like to see some of the more well-known people like Fatal1ty go up against a gamer now. Put them both on Quake Live, him with m/kb and the other a controller and see what happens.

Did you not read what I wrote about Shadowrun earlier? Microsoft was going to do it. The PC gamers stomped the console gamers.

No, that would be shorten to T2, but I guess you lack the ability to shorten single words
