Even calculating for increased circumference at a speed of 100 km/hr for 215/45R17 87W here:
http://bndtechsource.ucoz.com/index/...alculator/0-20
Only increases the circumference to 1909.7mm. So my calculation for 2nd gear at 7500 RPM is:
1909.7/25.4/12*7500/(4.1*2.188)/88 = 59.5 MPH.
This value seems a bit too low for good 0-100 Km/hr. times unless the fuel cutoff is extended slightly in second gear. Given the 3.727 rear end ratio then 2nd gear reaches 65 MPH at the stated 7450 red-line: which seems higher than expected from some of the posted videos. I wonder what ratio Subaru will use in the US?
BTW I noticed that the gear ratios including the 4.1 rear end ratio are exactly as given in the GT-5 game as I posted here:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2500

If you watch the silver/blue BRZ video you can see it hit 100kmh=62mph in 2nd.

I think you are spot on WoW. Just hoping for the low side of that range.

I was using a different wheel diameter... I would think the rev limiter is at 8000RPM so you should be able to hit the magical number: 62MPH. Although the momentum at 59.5MPH will keep it going so I dont think it will lose too much time. I would trade a good 0-62MPH for a good 40-80MPH anyways.

Also if you factor in the most of the time the speedo is usually 3-5% under it will "look" like it donig 62MPH at the red line anyway.

Usually the speedo is slightly fast. Most of the time its about 3-5% over. DOnt forget that when you hit the clutch, the car is still carring momentum. But the time 3rd is enguaged it will be over 62MPH.

I read a while ago that fuel cutoff is very close to redline. FWIW, you can not hit 8000 RPM in GT5.

A minor point guys, but momentum won't keep it accelerating, keep it moving yes, but not accelerating. If you disengage the clutch at 59mph on a flat road it's not hitting 60.

This is true.

Anyways 59.5MPH is close enough to 60MPH. When your racing that 2.0TFSI Rocco/A3 its only going to help having shorter ratios

At what RPM does it cut out in GT5?

Unless going downhill, or in free fall
