Ordered! #5942

I was trying to order it off my iPad, but the coupon code would not go in. But it worked on my desktop. So all is good.

I guess I'll need to be like you. What's a little more NVH. I drove around all day today with my center console out. If I can do that, ths should be nothing.

Hehe, If I need something quiet, I'll borrow my dad's Prius. hehe. Anyways, I figure, $25, I'd give it a shot. If I don't like it, sell it to a local for cheap or use it as a paper weight. I've got plenty of those!

It is a pretty paperweight. Maybe I'll get 2.

Is there a reason the factory mount is so squishy other than NVH? Is there a technical reason the transmission needs to move at that point?

The transmission is bolted to the engine. Since the engine mounts have play and the engine rocks side to side, the transmission needs to have room to move with it. This mod should be done with stiffer engine mounts, but should be OK without.

They are made for us by a friend who runs a Aerospace machine shop across town. We will be making them in our shop very soon. I bought a older 3axis vertical enclosed cnc machine last month. We do not have it powered up yet as we do not have 3phase in the shop.
Our shop is pretty big, but some how the landlord in over 30 years of owning it never even had 220V service installed. We moved in and had to install 220v service to run most of our equipment. We even had to install around 12 8ft florescent light fixtures because it had all incandescent bulbs, something I have never seen in a commercial building this size. I called to have 3 phase service brought in, but it will be way to expensive. We would be willing to do this if we did not already have plans to move to a newer better looking space. So for now I have picked up a phase converter to adapt what we have to what the machine needs. I am just waiting on our electrician to make some time to come out and finish running some power from our panel and to setup a phase converter panel so all our 3 phase machines I have been collecting can be hooked up all at once.

Only reason I asked is because in regards to the Whiteline bushing, instead of hacking and cutting on the bushing, a measurement on the ID of the bushing and changing OD on the machined part would make for a cleaner install. You could even sell them as a packaged deal. Might not be worth the trouble but just a suggestion. I'm just glad someone posted about it because I had planned on getting the Whiteline bushing but now I'll hold off on installing the mount stiffener until I get the bushing and have the OD of the stiffener turned so I won't have to have guess work on the bushing itself.

I will see if we can come up with a solution.
