OH SHIT! I can't believe I didn't see it before... It's so glaringly obvious too...

HOW THE HELL DOES TOYOTA THINK THEY HAVE THE RIGHT; THE RIGHT TO MAKE A CAR THAT IS EQUALLY AS RED AS MAZDA'S RX8?!?!?!?

By Talos, I never thought it would be done... But those dang Japs did it...

EDIT: THOSE BASTARD ITALIANS DID IT TOO!!

LOOK AT THESE PRICKS!

The shape of the car is overall different. The headlights differ, the mirrors differ, the shape of the rear quarter window is different. The RX-8 has a factory spoiler where the FR-S does not. The fender and quarter panels flare differently. The taillights are shaped differently. The exhaust is farther apart on the RX-8. The FR-S's reverse lights are low in the middle, not in the taillamps. Anyway, should I go on? I'm sure I can find more differences... I could look up interior images to compare if I must...

Mazda wouldn't be that stupid. Japan isn't the U.S., there are REAL consequences to legal action there. Besides, Mazda isn't in the same position of power that Toyota is.

Japanese business is complex and would take a lot of study to fully understand; Mazda challenging Toyota in court would only result in a public apology from Mazda's board members followed by suicide.

CRAP I think he's right! It has 4 wheels! Just like the RX-8! Dual mirrors, dual headlight, omg dual rear tail lights.

LOL

Dude the Mazda is bigger than the FRS, 2 doors vs 4 doors, horizontal pistons vs rotary, 100lbs+ heavier.

Just because it's a sports car, that does not mean it's the same as every other. The only thing they DO have in common, is their purpose. And oh! The dual headlights, dual tail lights, both have steering wheels, doors, radios, cupholders, etc.

HAHHAAHA!!

BWAAHHAHAHAAHAHHAHAAHAHAAA!!!!

Get that selective reading disorder fixed, since you mentioned a ton of things that, you know, don't have ANYTHING to do with BODY STYLE, which is what I mentioned was the ripoff, and which it still is. I'm pretty sure I didn't say they took an RX-8 and rebadged it. Lessee, front scoop and lower grill intake the same, cat's eyes headlights both mounted on corners with exactly the same wraparound, wheel rims just about exactly identical, hood length same, OH but the FR-S has differently FLARED FENDERS! OH, well there you go!! Pretty sure if I grabbed a pic of the RX-8, traced over it, grabbed my eraser and drew a little different fenders, it would probably come out as something incredibly close to the FR-S. OH, the FR-S doesn't have a spoiler!! OHHHH!!!! My GOD, I'm totally off base!!

What a bunch of blind Toyota enthusiast automatons you all are. Oh, I guess that doesn't really matter though, since, you know, Toyota had to rely on Subaru engineers to design the thing, then swear on the FR-S website that its inspiration comes from OLDER TOYOTA PRODUCTS! What a laugh. But I wouldn't expect anything less from a company that, you know, designed a few cars recently that KILLED a bunch of people.

Carry on.
