Maybe its a bit off topic, but...

... thinking of a restrictor plate to limit upper rpm boost and boost mid-range torque (a la twin screw superchargers). I know they did this on one of their old miata projects, since they reached the limits on stock fuel system,

I believe HKS is doing this with their traction drive SC.

Looking at the bottom pic, if you have a P&L or FA20Club header, it won't work with this setup. Not unless if you can relocate that oil filter.

I'm not so sure about that. It looks like it's just the angle the photo was taken at. If you look at the top photo it looks like the filter is closer to the hood latch. The p&l kit has their turbo near where the jackson blower is.

There is a ton of room in my engine bay despite the header coming forward.

Yeah, it's cutting it close. I'll have to look at my P&L header when it's light out and check out the space. I figure next year I'll go F/I. I'm a turbo guy, but I've always wanted to try out a supercharger. That's my plan for this car. Just not sure which one yet. Good to see some more options out there and should give plenty of time to work out the kinks in these new systems. Not to mention the tunes.

By that logic one could also say stay away from this car all together if you go by all the problems people have posted about even without mods let alone with FI.

I would think relocating the filter would be relatively easy. I have a P&L header and am VERY interested in this kit...so I'm going to check this out thoroughly.

I believe the belt issue for one at least one of the SC kits is due to the belt rubbing on another part of the engine. So, either a poor installation or poor design. I wouldn't discount all superchargers because of that.

I would go so far as to say install error as belt clearance should be checked (as I did) during install.

The silicone charge pipe looks like a win-win to me. No risk of noisy vibrations/chafing like some Vortech owners were getting and less heat soak than a metal pipe may experience.

Any new info?

I just badgered JR to get on here and start engaging some technical discussion as they get closer to releasing this kit.

Hopefully they will and we can get some solid info.
