JUST BRING BACK THE SUPRA ALREADY, TOYOTA!
If the supra comes back looking exactly the same as when it first came out 20 years ago, I'd still be happy. Dump in the 2ur-gse, and I will throw all of my money at you, all of it. Just give me my god damn fix. |

I think Hybrid will be even cheaper to modify. The hard part is the Integration Software in the system when you mod it.
I would say we will need 2 tuners in the Future (ICE Tuner + ISM Tuner or Integrated Software Monitoring Tuner) |

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Supra love till... well, even after i die. Car is timeless, beautiful, sexy, beastly, and comfortable. What more do you want? Complications? With technology comes confusing, unreliable, and untouchable problems. Simple, KISS is all you need to keep in mind. Just as long as its not as simple as the FR-S/BRZ...

Newest info on the next "Supra"
Just seen this posted.. Not a lot, more rumors.. I still find the info/speculation on the name interesting.. As a lot of supra forums state Toyota is looking at marketing it as a Scion

I thought it was practically confirmed this would be a joint venture with BMW very similar to the GT86/Subaru partnership, sold with badging from both companies.
Having Scion be the "sporty" brand isn't a bad move from an enthusiast perspective, but they can ask GM how that worked out. |

Depends on how you define expensive, I'm expecting 911-GTR territory which isn't unreasonable for a high tech sports car that we're all expecting. Ballpark $70k-$95k with the BMW clocking in a bit higher for more amenities.

took the words out of my mouth man. Car after the twins of course..... most likely buy it used in 2020. :happy0180:
But anything to compete with those cocky GTR and 911 crowds makes me happy. |

GM also had like 5 brands filling the same market segment. So they'd cannibalize itself if they didn't get any conquest sales. |

It would be interesting if they decided to market it as a Scion, especially with their decision to let dealerships wrap up and stop carrying Scion with no penalties. http://www.autoblog.com/2013/08/19/t...s-them-fr-s-d/
So I'm guessing one of two things by the limited information: 1.) Toyota is trying to wrap up Scion and prepare to fold models they want to keep into the Toyota lineup. 2.) Scion will become a performance halo division of Toyota. Just off the wall speculation on my part, really. I'll be a little disappointed if the Supra successor reaches supercar pricing. I know everything is getting more and more expensive, but I think they should leave that kind of pricing to Lexus and reserve it for models like the LFA (yes, I know, way more than 100k) and keep Toyota/Scion as a good value for performance. I'd be happy seeing it start around 60, and then option up from there. Do I think it'll happen? No way, they'll get every penny they can for it. And it'll just continue to baffle me that GM makes the new Vette as good as it is for the amount of money it costs. |

I doubt the Supra crowd will really care if its a Scion if it represents it self properly.
Those Supra guys never stick to OEM anyways... What i'm interested is the Hybrid tech and me thinks it'll come in a manual.

Scion Supra sounds weird. It might be called something else.

I don't understand, are you implying that the price range I defined is expensive for the people on this forum? Or that everyone here is familiar with the concept of joint development?
