This is probably exactly what the OP is going to do. He thought the car wasnt going to be popular so he buys it. People who hope this car doesnt get popular really have no idea how bad that would be if this car wasnt in demand. Resale value goes down, Aftermarket wouldnt support it as much, and worse thing that could happen is that it gets discontinued because no one wants to buy it.

What does he expect when a car is back ordered and cant even be had for a couple months when it was first released. He probably LOVED the attention he got when it was first out and now that its being more n more common since production caught up with demand, he is getting mad.

You are right but not entirely. People act out of stupidity too and if you turn a blind eye to every stupid shit they do then ultimately you end up condoning their actions. Now, that is not always true but in only the extreme of situations.

Now do I go about wagging my finger at about everyone? No, I don't but I am allowed to speak my mind when I think certain something can be criticized. Now am I being overly bashful? No! I am just saying that people should get a car cause they like it .... and not because of what others may think of them.

You could argue that I am being hypocritical...but if you carefully look at it... I am not.

That is exactly what you are doing. You are afraid that because its getting popular that people would think you bought it for the same reasons also. Why else would you be afraid of this car getting popular and mainstream? People who care about stuff like that usually is the exact reason why they dont want it to get popular. Thats practically a definition of a hipster. Getting something who dont want it to get mainstream because they want to be special or w/e.

How do you know those people that bought the car dont like it? I am sure EVERY person who buys a brand new 25-28k car like it for a ton of reasons and one of big reasons for buying it is for liking it.

Our society would be so much better if people stopped caring about other peoples intentions of buying stuff. Whether its popular or not, if they buy it for a stupid reason who the fuck cares. They spend there hard earned money on it because their is a good chance they liked it. And when its something like a car that is 25-28k theres a good chance they LOVE it.

For your information, I have not bought this car yet. I am planing on it and currently deciding if I should get the 2014 version or wait for the 2015 and see what "changes" it offers.


Why do I want this car?
Because unlike everything else....it is light, nimble, NA engine, balanced, prioritizes handling and overall....quite an intelligent design. The price is not astronomical and it essentially highlights everything what driving is about. The NA20 motor is arguably one of the best boxer engines made and can be tuned extensively. It essentially the whole package that a enthusiast would want.

Sure there are other cars out there, but I can't afford them and I doubt they are as reasonably moneywise.

Maybe it's me but I'm not hardly getting any attention when I drive my BRZ other than the occasional jackass revving their engine at anything that looks faster than their car Perhaps I'm mean looking, who knows.

I had a question...the eyebrow lights in your avatar pic...are those DRLs? Because I thought they were up until I read that the BRZ has its DRLs near the fog light area and then saw a BRZ on the road in that fashion (The eyebrows were not on but lights in the bumper were).
