Looks like Walser may be selling hail damaged BRZ Limited's as well:

They were selling them for $27K and change so these may not be as damaged as the FR-S. Othewise, I bet they would take $24K or less.

I was debating about getting that Rally Blue one before I got my FRS. I will have to swing by sometime and see how bad they are damaged.

Haha, seems like quite a few of us 10 Series owners were looking at WRB BRZ's initially.

I sent an email to the dealer inquiring if there was hail damage. They said yes, but would not sat how bad. It could be $1K bad or $4K bad....

That said, Walser is pretty good about negotiating, so there could be room. Same with the 2 FR-S models that were damaged.

I'm pretty sure the hood needs to be replaced, I think shops cant fix aluminum.

From my 2x experiences with hail now, They can fix aluminum, but it becomes an amount of dents issue. Eventually, its just cheaper to replace than to repair.

I confirm this information from others. Paintless dent repair can also be done on aluminum panels for hail denting. The question is cost of doing so versus cost of buying, painting and replacing the panel concerned.

Also, the repair is undetectable once completed so the true value of the car should not be affected. Buying a repairable hail damaged car can be a real bargain. Also, I recently saw an Audi Q7 with hail damage unrepaired but "camouflaged" with stick on bullet holes. Actually looked pretty good in a 'hood sort of way: heavy tint with custom bullet holes. Until resale this saved the owner a ton of money.

Also, $4k isnt terrible, but considering my car was just appraised for similar sounding hail damage for $3700, you can bet that the costs of repair are going to be close to the amount they are giving you, especially if its a body shop that has never worked on the car before. When I had hail damage this past May, the total bill was over $4300 all said and done. If I were looking at this car, I'd ask for at least $5k off.
Yeah if it was me and the bill was going to be $4k just to repair, I'd want at least $6k off the price to make it worth my time/hassle and for any possible devaluation issues.

I've already decided that if this happens again, I am just going to roll with it and call it the "PGA Special Edition, sponsored by PING"

Good morning ladies and gents...

I'm sorry if I didn't read through all the 139 pages, but I have a small doubt I wish you'd answer. I've seen some series 10 models with spoilers and others without. What is the default?

I ask because I like the five axis spoiler a lot, but if the series 10 already comes with a spoiler, it kind of ruins it a bit for me... another one to buy, paint and install.

Some came with it, some came without it... it varies by region...

Why would it ruin it for you if it came with a spoiler? you can still switch it with a five axis, you just have to seal the hole with a bit of vinyl and that's it...
