Sux, man! Keep after them and make sure you are getting paperwork from the dealer to document the issue showing what they did to fix your car to address the complaint. If you call Subaru Customer Service ask the rep how many times you need to take the car in to the dealer for the same problem before you can file a lemon law claim. That might get someone's attention to resolve the problem.

Keep me as a maybe for now, but the service dept at the dealer has the parts on order to arrive tomorrow and they estimate a 1.5 hour install time, then "sufficient" time to run diagnostics afterwards. I estimate, with no further error codes, that I will have my car back mid next week. But I will not know for sure until the keys are back in my hands.

Updated the OP. Been slacking on that lately.

If anyone is interested in coming, just copy and paste the most recent list in a post and add your name to it. This run is an absolute blast!

Hey guys, I did the Twisted Sister run on Saturday (8/17) with a friend from Dallas that brought his Miata down. At the tail end of the run (on 337, leaving Leakey), on the extra-twisty rhythm portion, I noticed a newer white/cream'ish Escalade with factory chrome 20's parked off on the side, with an older (at least 50's, probably older) white guy in the driver's seat. I wasn't going buckwild, but I was at least double the suggested speed limit (~20 mph, IIRC). Anyway, I passed him by, and didn't think anything of it.

After we were outside Leakey (a good 15-20 minutes from the picnic area/senic overlook) in a fairly flat normal area, we crested a small hill and a police officer in a F150 was there to receive us. We both received speeding tickets for 82 in a 65, which TBH, we both expected. As the cop was giving us tickets, I noticed that same white/cream'ish Escalade pass us by.

After our exchange with the cop, we were back on our way and we caught up with the Escalade, and saw him pull off to a church (i think) parking lot. What threw me off was that I saw the driver on some sort of radio, and after we passed him I noticed that he was turning around to head back towards Leakey.

I'm not 100% sure or anything, but have you guys heard of locals calling in police on drivers out on the Twisted Sister drive? My spidey-sense went off when I saw the guy on a radio after he pulled off... I'm not denying that we deserved the tickets, and we're not disgruntled by any means - it comes with the territory... but I know a lot of you guys do the run fairly regularly - just wondering if 'yall have heard or seen that before?

Anyway... here's a pic from our trip... it's from that abondonded gas station off SH16...

Most small, rural Texas towns do not like people people rip roaring through their communities. This is perfectly normal for these types of communities that rarely have crime of any significant nature.

Don't know about the Escalade but, I've seen that county mounty in that F-150 about 3 or 4 times on sisters runs - he has a couple of favorite spots as you come down a hill where you described and there's one around Hwy. 187 where the zig zag is that goes up to Lost Maples on 337 on the side towards Medina. Also, have seen radar on 337 between Leakey and Camp Wood. Also have seen radar between Medina and Bandera. Also have seen radar between Bandera and Hwy 46. Agggghh! Fortunately, my Escort continues to pay for itself! Sorry you got popped. That old white guy was probably the judge of the kangaroo court you'd have to go to if ya intended to fight it in court!
Visions of Boss Hogg and his brother-in-law, Roscoe P Coltrane....easy money when ya got the gun, the badge and the bubble gum machine.

That's a big ten-four little fat buddy! This is Sheriff Roscooooe P. Coltrane - Gkhuh-gkhuh-gkhuh!

P.S. ^ Nice pics fellers!! Can't wait.

Just found this site. Wouldn't mind meeting up with everyone for a run. I have been running those ranch roads about once a month since April when I got my FR-S. Its a fun drive. Need to make it over to Lime Creek, looks like a really fun route too.

I pick my BRZ up out of the shop (hopefully for the last time for this particular issue), so I should be ready to go for the 7th!
