Who's fighting? Subaru just paid me $2,000 to have them not put that spoiler on my car.

Premium vs. Limited- I hate push button start. Everything else I could care less about, I dont like the spoiler but could swap that easily, keyless entry can be nice but I work at a car stereo shop so if I really wanted that I could do it for next to nothing. But I really hate push button start, call me crazy but I really enjoy getting into a car, pushing in the clutch, and turning a key to bring a car to life.
I politely disagree.

The HIDs in the BRZ is not just about the lighting, but the whole housing is much nicer. It's blacked out and has a nice boomerang LED. It really makes the whole car look slightly more upscale. Sorry to FRS owners, but I hate the chrome headlights and wish they were blacked out stock.

As for the push button start, I was in the same boat until I owned this car with a push button start. The pure convenience of keyless entry, just sitting in the driver's seat, and pressing that beautiful button to bring the engine alive. Using a key IMO feels dated now.

Have you ever the keyless entry tech before? It's really helpful and you begin to really enjoy it. It's one feature I wish I would have added to my wife's CX-5.
I had it with my 335i, Rav4, Corvette and I just remembered my M3 had it too. The Corvette kept locking me out. It was quite annoying. My wifes Rav4 just freaked out for no reason. It would constantly set off the alarm and sometimes just tone for no reason and it would last a few minutes. Nothing would stop it. My BMW's both did ok as far as I can remember, although it was annoying that I had to put the key in the key holder to start it. I felt like that defeated the purpose.

What irony? The entire point of this thread is for Premium owners to discuss exactly why they bought their car. No one is denying, hiding, or dancing around that fact. And, I'm not calling out Limited owners for justifying their purchases whatsoever. They're free to justify whatever they want. My point was that it's silly to come into a Premium thread and tell us why we're somehow wrong in our own justifications, which has happened many times already in this thread.

Enjoy your Limited. I'm sure it's a fun car.

BMW did have an interesting version. You had to option up (at least my 2014 MSport X1 did) to a push button start without the key in a key holder.

My mazdas have all had the feature and all worked flawlessly. It's not exactly difficult tech these days however it does drain the fob battery much quicker.

I know you're not exactly stating it, but you're implying that the Limited seats are power adjustable. They're not. They have the same controls as your car.

Edit: Auto-blocking of links to other BRZ forums is childish.

Or it could be a thread for the other side of the equation. The answers could range from "I didn't like the Limited's extra features so I didn't get them" to "I really wanted the Limited's extra features, but I couldn't afford them" or something in between.

Buying a lower trim level car isn't just about not being able to afford the highest priced version available.

Why I went with my premium.
1. Available in whiteout, 6-speed m/t. Exactly what I was looking for
2. Spoiler kills the curves of the car imo
3. Never needed foglights, kills the simplicity of the front imo
4. Alcantara seats get too hot and I felt my body slipping around in the seats. (Tested a limited and my legs were sweating from the alcantara). Plus never needed seat heaters and I love the mesh cloth since it reminds me of my miata.
5. Auto climate controls never suited me. Left me too hot or too cold. In my 3-series BMW
I always ended up manually controlling the ac or heater anyways.

Like others, the only thing I really wanted was keyless entry. The push to start is cool, but I find myself listening to the radio while I'm waiting for a friend with my engine off. Keyless entry would be good though for when I'm carrying things or if my keys get lost in my pocket.

Good Comment

Here's a story on Keyless Entry:.
I was sitting and watching a parade yesterday (Woodward Dream Cruise-Suburban Detroit) and I noticed a BMW or Lexus parked and with its lights still on. Upon further investigation I determined that the engine was still running. After about 3 minutes I asked the couple next to me if it was their car. It was.

I told them that the engine was still running. It was a quiet car and lots of noise from the parade. Sure enough, the man went up to his car, opened the door and indicated his car was running. The signifcant other looked at me and commented "Duh" motioning to her husband. I told them that they probably had the 'keyless entry' feature and were not far enough away from their car.

Technology is great but not if one is not 'up-to-date' with it.

A lot of times they migrate down to the bottom below your wallet or sunglasses, or you walk out to the car with stuff in both hands and have to dig your keys out, or you're holding something heavy in your right hand and your keys are in your right pocket so you've got to switch around and reach for them. I absolutely love just walking up and opening it, and not having to stick anything in the ignition.

As for the button itself, I could take it or leave it. If there was a big rotary switch that was the same size and shape as a keyfob located on the side of the steering column, and it worked the same as a regular ignition, but your actual key could still be in your pocket, I wouldn't mind that at all. I guess the push button is neat looking, especially since it's in an unusual spot (most cars I've seen it have it up on the dashboard to the right of the steering column), and you can press it with your hand on the shifter, but it is definitely annoying to not be able to kill the engine but leave accessory on, especially since the BRZ is one of the few new cars that won't leave the radio on between turning off the ignition and opening the door.

You REALLY think so?
I have a classic muscle car and opening the door with a key or an electronic device won't make much difference to a date.
