The actual participants in this case are the only ones being smart about it. They are all laying low and awaiting the outcome of the investigation. There is no benefit to the OP, Visconti Tuning or Accelerated Performance if they comment in this thread until the findings are in.

Don't let the faulty craftsmanship or a shoddy installation that MAY be associated with this build discourage you from enhancing your cars power potential (TC, SC). A well built kit and a reputable professional installer can make this car into a rocket ship, as mine have.
Gas burns, and gas fires do not go out easily. As a fireman for the last 32 years, I have seen cars burn to the pavement despite copious amounts of water, chemicals, and foam being applied. Cars are not built to extinguish themselves, that's for sure. Ever see a Pontiac Fiero burn? Such pretty colors, (blues, greens, purples, and intense whiteness) with all that plastic bodywork..........and those magnesium wheels.
On a lighter note, and to distract many from their rants, Who knows what happens when water is applied to a magnesium fire?

Even before this fiasco there are plenty of people who are annoyed with Visconti. Before I even knew about this fire I actually purchased an FA20club tune for my vortech kit just so I did not have to deal with Visconti.

This thread is blowing up because there is finally an "OH SNAP" moment for people to say how they really feel about the vendor in question. Hell, my vortech kit was supposed to be a 7-10 day lead. That turned into WEEKS. I'm pretty sure there are still people out there that did not recieve the stage 1+ upgrade pulley/parts from the first group buy... because again there were people looking for their upgraded parts because they never got them when they FINALLY got their blower.

Damage control would just backfire IMO.

Unless Visconti comes in here with an official report that says the mechanical fuel pump caused the fire and the flex fuel kit was not to blame(and you better believe I would question that report), I don't think anything is going to save the vendor-forum relationship.

Agreed. It would be legally unwise to respond, and we all need to wait on the final verdict before passing judgment, I was just hoping to see some statement of general sympathy at any point. Was the "stop moaning" the last mention in regards to this? Damage has been done. Even if the report does show Visconti was in no way responsible, people aren't easily swayed from their opinions.

Who the fuck says this when the car was in their hands and they fucked up?

The way I read that, the guy sounds like he said it in the douchiest manner possible. Like "hey we fucked up your car but it's yours so you're the odd one out that has to get here ASAP to deal with getting it off our lot"

If we're all getting on the bandwagon, this more or less sums me up:

Got check engine lights? Looks good! Tune-only refund request after 45 days of no updates: Denied. Reasons: "Got what you paid for, your problems are your problems not mine." Worldclass compassionate support in action.

I don't install shit. And I have nothing to do with Phantom. Im just a dyno guy.

And ps.... douchebags that are always looking to place blame, jump to conclusions or cant accept the fact that shit fails are definately not welcome. My attitude has been the same for the last 20 years.

And if I fuck up. I will fix it. No question. Conjecture, guess work and amateur assessments not withstanding.

Having said that. No way... no how would I ever use that line with a hose clamp on a fuel line. Duh.

And your thread was annoying cause of all ur brilliant ideas.... u still ended up exactly copying Phantom and gave them a little tiny blurb after I said you should.

I agree completely! When I said I was surprised they were not in here doing damage control, it was a slap in the chops. I've just seen how they've dealt with other issues in the past in such a retarded fashion, that I was literally shocked John or Rich had not come in here and sealed their fate
