Thanks for clearing that up. Im glad I decided to wait.I would have been checking under my hood every time I started it.

This was my original point. I definitely empathize with the community's anger at the moment in regards to the "fix", but I can't foresee him ignoring this. I have no idea what action could be undertaken to "make this right" in the eyes of the raging mob here, but as a business owner, I'd be shocked if he didn't make an attempt. I suppose if not, there's always the GT-R community to fall back on.

FACT is, the exact casue is NOT known.

Now, there is a group of forum members that are talking about facts.

Even when the cause is still unknown, Visconti posts 6 days ago that the cause is know, blatant lie.

FF Kit leaking inside engine compartment of various owners

Visconti providing a "fix" that involved paying on top of the $1300+ already payed just to have a non-leaking kit

Never posting instructions on this new "fix" to allow customers to install it, leaving them basically with parts in hands and saying "I have no idea how to install this"

Brushing away Fuel Leaking in the engine bay saying it is NOT a Safety Concern.

There is more to OP's story, but that will be known later on not today.

Bolded part above are facts and no vendor should behave like that.

Easy, just the opposite of points 1,3,4,5 made above...

When you make the meme, right click on it and save image URL. On your post, click on the button that looks like a mountain with a son (yellowish and gray) and insert the link there, press ok and done.

The fix is quite simple really.

1) Admit the failings of the kit (not going to happen though, Rich has already stated he will never acknowledge anything that is supposedly wrong with the kit. In their eyes, the FF kits is best and safest on market right now).

2) Refund the monies they have unethically taken from first adopters for the coupler fix and mounting improvements. Ship out at their expense these "upgrades". Again, not going to happen. Once they have the money, not going to give it up that easily.

3) We non US customers need some love, engine side coupler wise. Currently not very high on their priority list. Even with new coupler, still have one leak point (better than two, right???).

4) Learn to write instructions. With pictures if possible.

That's how it should've been handled immediately after a problem was ascertained. Making it right NOW, in the holistic sense, is going to be vastly more challenging... Even if he came forward with concrete, indisputable proof that the FF kit wasn't responsible, this thread will have swayed the minds of a multitude of potential customers.

I see what you mean. I think forgetting for a moment about the car fire, (which cause is still unknown), the way the FF kit leak has been handle should be more than enough for most potential customers to move as far away as possible from this company.

I agree with JV waiting until the final report comes out before he does anything. If *IF* his parts are at fault he should replace the car and mod it to where it was before this happened. His insurance should cover that. If not, he should. Again IF his parts were faulty, he should hold himself responsible.

Both John and Rich have logged in after this thread was created, I don't know if they read it, but I'm guessing they have seen it. Should they join in the fray and add more opinions, absolutely not. Not posting in this instance is more professional.

Enough has been said about this guys. And responding to Toma's trolling is only taking this conversion from theoretical to mob mentality witch hunt.

Let the facts come out and WAIT to see what the response from John is. If he is at fault, his response wont be here the moment we see all the facts. He'll still have insurance and possibly lawyers to talk to before he can inform OP about what's going to happen. Then its up to them if they want to post. If John's not at fault, he'll still probably take time to figure out what if anything he wants to say in this thread.
