I originally wanted a Premium, but most of the ones in my area had port-installed spoilers and/or foglights. It closes the gap between the Limited and the Premium, and I figured that I'd rather pay $1700 for stuff that I did want than $500 for port-installed stuff that I didn't want.
I've grown to love the keyless entry, and I think the dual climate control and alcantara seats makes the interior look upscale compared to the Premium. I mostly just like the row of toggle switches. All of the BRZ pictures I drooled over after I first saw the car at the 2012 Philly auto show had the row of toggle switches, and I thought it was so cool. The first one I test drove was a Premium AT, and the first thing I noticed when I got in was the absence of the toggle switches. The dual zone thing isn't a big deal for me, and I don't like to leave the fan on Auto (it blows like a freaking hurricane if you do that, I usually have the fan on the first or second of the seven speeds). Frankly, it's a little annoying to use, because it turns recirc off every time it starts up, so every time I turn it on I need to press auto, turn the fan knob down, and turn recirc back on. So for me it's form over function for the climate control, it looks a lot prettier even if it is annoying to use sometimes. Foglights I can do without, and would have gotten the car without them if I could have, because it looks nicer. Factory foglight options are always just worthless cosmetic toys that they use to jack up the price. They don't help you see in fog, they can't even be used like a proper foglight (the role of a foglight is to turn the main headlights off and use the fogs to see the side of the road while crawling along at <10mph in really nasty conditions), all they do is flood the foreground so that you think you can see better (you can't), and create glare. And everyone drives around with them on all the time so that they can show off the fact that they paid extra for them. Pro tip - unless it's actually foggy, they shouldn't be on. Front end looks cleaner without them. I haven't used them yet, and with the adjustable headlights I would probably just lower the headlights if it got really foggy and I was crawling along. Heated seats and mirrors I haven't gotten much use out of yet (I bought the car in April 2013), but they should be nice. IMO you get a lot of bang for your buck with the Limited. On a lot of cars, heated leather seats alone would cost as much as the price difference.

The radio, to me, is just okay. I wish it had more physical buttons and was larger, and the GPS works well for me when I have used it (which is not often). There are much better aftermarket radio options for either the BRZ or FR-S, many of them around $500 or less. I would not let the radio sway the decision for either car. |

I bought a Limited because that's what was available at my local Subaru dealership. I had already ruled out getting a Scion b/c I wasn't about to buy a brand new car without HID headlights. I was indifferent about the front bumper differences, and also wasn't too keen about dealing with servicing the car at Toyota/Scion.
The features and how I feel:

OP, think about what exactly you need in life. if you don't care about comfortable heated seats and heated side mirror and like to save $$$, then pick premium. if you think they're needed then pick Limited.
money wasn't issue for me between premium or Limited. since i had multiple cars in past and drove friends cars, my reasons for having premimum is NO Wing, don't care about leather seat, personally like inserting key and start engine. only thing that i want was Fog lights and heated side mirrors. |

If I had a partner I'd probably have opted for the limited trim for dual climate but 99% of my time im alone in the car.
Don't care for leather, uneasy on how alcantara will wear since I plan to keep car long time. Never used fog lights and think they are kind of ugly on most cars. Like the spoiler so I bought one for my premium. Keyless is cool I guess but I learned with the key not really inclined to pay more for keyless. Heated seats, meh. Heated mirrors I wouldn't mind but really only useful less than a handful of days a year for me. For me what it comes down to is I would have got a limited if I had a woman in my life because it would quiet all her complaints lol |

Before my BRZ I was in a standard Gen Coupe 2.0. My biggest reason for getting rid of it was because I wasn't satisfied with having basically no features in it. Every other Gen Coupe was either a Track model with better rims and brakes, or a sunroof, or leather interior, or HIDs, or Nav, etc. I felt like I had just settled for my car instead of getting what I really wanted. When it came to the BRZ, I knew that if I didn't get a Limited then I wouldn't get one period. I waited 8 months for a SWP Limited to show up in my area. I'm extremely happy with all of the extras that it comes with!
