Hi JX86..

The Jack is a Covs Parts branded "CGL".. One of the ones they import from overseas. Lowered height is 60mm if I recall. 2-3 pumps and its full height(with no load of course)
Paid $500 for it too.

Are you the same JX that came to the A-One audio meet at the start of the year?!?

Yup, that's me. You've got good memory! I was actually planning to sell the 86, then a couple days ago I picked it up after almost 3 months in storage and decided that I'll start learning to do it up. Put the jack under only to find its too short to reach the jacking point!... Tough luck.

Would love to, provided I'm around town. Any idea when the next one is? I'm always doing short trips in the weekends to explore Perth since I'm still 'new' here. I just got to Esperance down south 2 hours ago.

@jx86: got them at a good price of a buddy that works at Subaru. Didn't really wanna keep on bugging him every couple of months for an oil filter whenever I needed one.
All of these should last me over 200,000km though

Spoon Sports Rigid Collar Kit



What does a 'rigid collar kit' do you may ask? I'll just copy-pasta it here..

"RIGID COLLAR are simple in their shape, clever in their design, the material from which they are made is confidential and their performance is unbelievable. Designed by Tatsura Ichichma of Spoon Japan, we expect nothing less.

The basic principle is one of chassis strengthening and rigidity without going overboard and compromising the cars inherent handling characteristics.

The Rigid Collar kit is simple to fit and low cost, Rigid Collars ease into position without affecting the basic geometry of the body.

The way the Rigid Collar works is simple. Bolt holes through the chassis panel and sub frame are normally too big as they were designed for ease of production in the factory.

When the car leaves the factory, everything is new and tight and the chassis hardly moves. After a while, the bolts become slightly looser and movement between the panels begins.

This is why an older vehicle fitted with new bushes, Shocks and springs, still doesn't behave like a new car.

The Rigid Collar is an aluminium washer (as per photo) with a square outside Taper to increase adhesion on the Thinner flange portion in the middle. This fits between the moving panels and with a properly sized bolt (and Bolt Hole as part of the Rigid Collar) is crushed into place when tightened, joining the two panels and stopping movement forever.

Rigid Collars cure chassis movement, improve handling, reduce road noise, reduce vibration, improve braking and make the car safer in an accident.

Like we say, simple in design and unbelievable in Performance."

These cost me $270(AUD) for the fronts, and $270(AUD) for the rears.

Here are the instructions, they are in Japanese. I need to find out the torque settings of the bolts I'm inserting these into...
If anyone can read japanese and could translate, that would be most appreciated

Stumbled upon these on the local FB 86/BRZ group.
Far superior than the previous JDM floor mats I purchased, but at almost three times the price. Have to keep my build all high quality JDM gear so I am going to order one of these.
