I wish seat heaters were a standalone option.
Edit: On both FRS and BRZ in the US market. |

I had an FR-S. Now I have a BRZ limited. The extra cost is definitely worth the features you get.

German 'A la carte' is such a ripoff. You look at those option individual and just cry...
Anyways, every time I drive my limited (Sport-tech in Canada) and have a little chuckle at the HID's. My Mazda had halogen with Optics and they still sucked. The HID's in the BRZ are SOOOO f'ing good I can't help but have a little laugh at how I used to drive at night (not seeing anything) They are so good you rarely need high beams. And yes, I know HID's suck for oncoming drivers, that's why at night in the city, I usually aim them down (manual adjustment knob , which is so f'ing good btw) and in rural area's I aim them up to horizontal (zero setting)Keyless entry also makes me grin like an idiot. I always imaging people wondering why I leave my car unlocked all the time. I bet I look silly when I swipe the back of the handle to lock it though ![]() All in all, EMPHATIC YES to "Is it worth it" |

Just as an FYI, the 10 series narrows the gap a lot with the Limited and you should consider it as well depending on which features matter to you. Below I think is an appropriate comparison and I'm pretty sure the price is almost dead even.
Both have: Push button start Upgraded headlights Auto climate Differences still: Front grill design difference, Scion's considered more aggressive Scion10 has more powerful stock stereo (+100W) and arguably better touch head unit (no nav) Scion10 is only one paint color Silver Ignition BRZ has leather seats and heated seats Scion10 is a true "limited" edition with only 2500 made Scion10 has light-up badges, a plus or minus depending on your opinion Scion10 doesn't force a spoiler on you unless you choose one. My personal opinion based on where I live, there are two things that made me prefer the Scion10 when shopping. The better stock stereo (had no plans to install anything) and the arguably better looking grill design. I live in Arizona, I'll never care about heated seats and don't want my skin to stick to hot leather, so I didn't consider those lacking as a bad thing. I also didn't want a spoiler, I liked the more clean look for some reason. Anyway, that's more info for you to chew on. Last edited by oldpueblo; 08-13-2013 at 07:25 PM. |

Your body doesn't even touch the leather...it's a "leather" seat with Alcantara inserts. Essentially, only the front of the head rest, the sides of the cushions, and the bolsters are leather. The portion where your body legs rest is Alcantara.
