Looks like a special 86 wheel for the moment, can't find a model number

And people want to trade just to get these parts, when they will most likely change them anyways.. I mean the stock tires don't last for ever anyway.. So Toyota giving better tires won't make me want to trade, rims don't look good to me so I'd change them out, and if plan on RSR coilovers anyway, which had better perform better then these shocks.. So I don't see the need to want a new one yet.. And as far as power, unless the get rid of the dip, I am already close to 200hp at the wheels.. So again I don't see the reason to take the hit on a trade in yet..

If Toyota makes a 300hp blown monster, I guess I'd think about it
I was thinking the same thing....
people already change the suspension (dropping it to get rid of wheel gap be in springs or coils), wheel and tire upgrade (people either upsize to 18's already which...needs new tires), or just change the tires out on 17's.

Is Tada's tuning that much different than any other random parts combo from different manufacturers that would justify a new car?

You're probably correct. I couldn't find the design on the bbs German site. Anyone have luck accessing the bbs USA site?

Those rims are really nice. Hope they bring them to the states. I would get em.

To be fair, there are three reasons why you would favor this over aftermarket:

1. An OEM really should have the resources to do a better job fine tuning suspension settings. They should be able to try out 50 different damping rates, etc., to dial it just right with the tires and wheel combo. So they *should* be slightly better for the car than similar cost aftermarket items.

2. You are supposedly not paying for equipment that you just have to pull off. This *should* result in a savings. Whether they pass that savings on or not depends on the OEM.

3. A higher spec OE model will be favorable for warranty and resale value.

Not saying that you shouldn't do it yourself, but there are reasons why someone would buy the pre-tuned version.

That they are offering a package to improve the handling, which was already top-drawer, gives me hope that they are also going to address what they and everyone else know is the real issue - the power/torque deficit.

Oh, and a brake upgrade so that one lap of the track doesn't leave you with a pile of stinking poo at each wheel would be nice too...

Although they are not the most attractive wheels at all in my opinion, if they were wrapped in ZII's, I would definitely pick up a set for track day.

You've got to be joking. There's nothing wrong with the stock brakes. NOBODY sells a car with track ready pads. Even Porsche. If you want dedicated track pads you cough up $350 or so and just swap out your street pads before hitting the track.

What's so difficult about that?

It looks like they use the same interchangeable center piece; you could pop in the Subaru one from the stock BRZ wheels...

The wheels aren't staggered (All 18x7.5), just the tires (215 and 225).

The improved suspension settings also play a much greater role as it reaches the limit of adhesion too. There is less body roll and pitch, which helps give it a more neutral handling balance, and the better bump absorption means it doesn't lose traction as easily on rough surfaces or mid-corner irregularities.
I just installed my Ohlins....I can say the same....
